The Traitors is one of the most explosive reality shows on the TV, but it seems the drama has now spilled out off-screen following series two contestant Charlotte Chilton’s baby announcement.
After revealing she’s expecting her first child back in April, Charlotte took to social media this week to open up about her relationship with the baby’s father. Referring to him only as Conor in her “raw and honest” post, Charlotte told her followers that he “wanted nothing to do us” and would no longer speak to her.
She added, “Essentially, I have not named the father in protection of him. I’m in a situation now after a lot of intimidation and… being made to feel terrible, referring to my daughter as ‘it’, that even though they’ve told me by speaking out people will hate me, I’m prepared to do it because she means more to me and I’m tired of carrying around this secret. It’s affecting my mental health.”
Charlotte later confirmed that singer Conor Maynard is the father of her child and that they met through her Traitors co-star Harry Clark, who is dating Conor’s sister Anna.
Recalling the night they met, Charlotte told Metro, “He insisted on having that party there because he wanted to meet me and he knew I was newly single.
“I very nearly didn’t go at all because I didn’t even know who Conor Maynard is. Harry was putting on the pressure.”
In her candid Instagram video, Charlotte hinted that not all of her Traitors co-stars had been supportive of her pregnancy as she said, “The cast are behind me that I need to put Penelope first. And when I say cast, I mean the majority of the cast.”
It appears that Charlotte has unfollowed Harry on Instagram since she posted the video, while some of their fellow Traitors stars including Mollie Pearce have also seemingly unfollowed him.
Representatives for Charlotte, Harry, Mollie and Conor have been contacted for comment.
