Before Joe Garratt was dumped from the Love Island villa alongside Essex girl Elma Pazar earlier this week, the 22-year-old from South East London was heavily criticism by fans of the show, with domestic abuse charity Women's Aid calling his behaviour towards Lucie Donlan 'controlling'.
So, when Joe's fellow Islanders Callum Macleod and Sherif Lanre joined heat Radio's Jordan Lee for this week's episode of heat's Love Island: Under the Duvet, we were keen to find out what Joe is really like.
Having his say on Joe's affections for Lucie, Callum said, "We didn't see the controlling side of Joe, we could just see that he really liked the girl. A day in there feels like a week, so he really fell for the girl.
"I don't think he was controlling in that sense, he just really, really fell for the girl."
Sherif chipped in, adding, 'It came from an innocent place. It's hard to lose track of that when they are showing a certain narrative, but yeah I think it came from a good place."
Callum then added, "A lot of the guys from the start fancied Lucie and they all wanted to get to know her because obviously she's a really attractive girl, so Joe kind of felt like he had to move forward fast, so she didn't pursue something with anyone else."
After Joe left the villa earlier this week, Lucie was having doubts about whether she should stay or not, admitting she really likes Joe to the other girls.
But it sounds like Callum thinks she should stay in the villa, telling Jordan, "Lucie has just got to remember why she went in there in the first place. There's still a long period of time to go. Someone could come in and really blow her away and that could be pursue something on the outside. It's hard to say, it hasn't been that long." [sic]
