If there's anything that screams "SELF CARE" it's a hot, steamy bath. And what goes best in a bath? A bath bomb.
Let's be honest, they're a pretty funky way to jazz up your bath. Invented by LUSH co-founder Mo Constantine, bath bombs have been fizzing away in our tubs since the 1980s.
Mo was inspired by the fizz of Alka Seltzers and wanted to create a gentle, fun alternative to a traditional bubble bath.
We are infinitely thankful for Mo's invention - what else gives you the opportunity to create a piece of art (hello Intergalactic bath bomb) in your tub?
If you're in the market for a new fizzer, you're in luck. We've rounded up our favourites for your jazziest/most relaxing bath ever.

What's the best way to use a bath bomb?
Using a bath bomb couldn't be simpler. Run your bath (make sure it's not too hot) and pop the bath bomb in when you're ready.
Depending on what kind of bath bomb you have, it should fizz, bubble and release gorgeous scents and colours.
Do bath bombs expire?
Just like food, bath bombs are perishable, so don't hold on to your collection for too long. Most bath bombs will come with an estimated expiration date when the bath bomb will lose its effectiveness, but it's usually around six months.
Bath bombs are made from bicarbonate of soda and citric acid, while bicarbonate of soda has a long shelf life (we know this because we have several pots that have been in the cupboard since approx 2009) but citric acid loses its potency over time.
The best way to preserve the citric acid in your bath bombs is to store them in an airtight container. That means no aesthetically pleasing baskets, sorry folks.
