heat's tips for a successful home workout

Find your style: if you're new to the home-gym experience, try doing some research and thinking about the style of workout you might enjoy. There are loads of YouTube videos and Instagram classes out there, so you could get into anything from yoga to HIIT.

Get your equipment: once you've decided what kind of workout is your style, you'll need some gear. Comfortable, breathable clothing is key, plus any weights, resistance bands or yoga blocks.

Prepare your space: move any furniture, if you have downstairs neighbours check that your workout doesn't include too many star jumps.

Get energised: if you find yourself running out of steam, it might be that you need to make sure you're well hydrated before you start. You could also try having a snack, like a banana, half an hour before you start.
