Yep, Leigh-Anne Pinnock announced the exciting news that she’s pregnant and expecting her first child with footballer fiancé Andre Gray earlier this week with a stunning pregnancy photoshoot.

Leigh-Anne’s pregnancy comes a year after she and Andre became engaged when he popped the question during a romantic lockdown proposal.

Who is Andre Gray?

Andre Gray is a 29-year-old footballer who plays for Championship club Watford and the Jamaica national team. He’s previously played for Shrewsbury Town, Hinckley United, Luton Town, Brentford and Burnley.

Andre has been dating Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock since 2016.

How did Andre Gray and Leigh-Anne Pinnock meet?

Andre and Leigh-Anne first met five years ago in Marbella while they were on separate holidays with their friends.

Although they met in May 2016, they didn’t go Instagram official until January 2017 when she shared a snap of him kissing her with the caption, “Gonna miss this one.”

Andre and Leigh-Anne have lived together in a stunning five-bedroom Surrey mansion for the past three years, however their home is currently on the market for a whopping £4.95million.

They are indeed. Andre popped the question to Leigh-Anne during a romantic lockdown date night in their garden on their fourth anniversary in May 2020.

The popstar announced the news on Instagram as she wrote, “Guys... wtf has just happened... 😩😳😂 He bloody did it, and I said yes 😩 I'm marrying my soul mate, the man of my flipping dreams... I am lost for words, so I think I'm just going to go cry some more 😩😂 @andregray_ I love you so much 😩😍❤️ My world is literally complete ❤️.”

Does Andre Gray have any children?

No, Andre doesn’t have any children at the moment, but he is due to become a dad when Leigh-Anne gives birth to their first child. It’s known when their baby is due but Leigh-Anne announced she was pregnant in May 2021.

“We've dreamed about this moment for so long and we can't believe the dream is finally coming true... we can't wait to meet you ❤️😍,” she wrote on Instagram.

Wait, was Andre Gray in a Little Mix music video?

Yes, he was. Andre appeared in Little Mix’s video for their single Think About Us in 2019. In the steamy video, Leigh-Anne grinded on her man while they were sat on a motorbike.

Andre Gray tweets

Andre was charged with misconduct by the Football Association in 2016 when a series of homophobic tweets he’d posted four years prior resurfaced online. It was later reported that he was also being investigated for another tweet, posted in 2014, that used a derogatory racial term. He was suspended for four matches and fined £25,000 on 23 September 2016.

In a statement, Andre issued an apology for his remarks and insisted he wasn’t homophobic. He wrote, “First I want to offer a sincere and unreserved apology to anybody I may have offended in relation to these tweets. The tweets were posted four years ago when I was a completely different person to the man I am now.

“I was at a very different point in my life back then – one that I’ve worked hard to move on from … I have experienced a lot over the past four years and have had to take responsibility for a number of things in my life which has enabled me to mature and grow as a person.”

He added, “I realise I have made some big mistakes, none more so than these tweets, but I would like to stress that I’ve worked incredibly hard to completely transform my life since that time. To clarify, I do not hold the beliefs written in those tweets whatsoever.

“I can assure everybody that I am absolutely not homophobic, and as said previously I can only apologise and ask for forgiveness to anyone I offended. Thankfully I am not the guy I was back then and will continue to work hard both on and off the pitch to become a better person.”

In Leigh-Anne’s upcoming BBC documentary about racism, Andre addresses his colourist tweet from 2012 which said that Black women wearing red lipstick looked like “burnt toast with jam on it”.

“You become a product of your environment. Whatever you were around every day and you’re not educated on it or exposed to why it’s wrong, it kind of sticks,” he says.

“There’s no excuse at all. When it all came out, obviously I was embarrassed, ashamed and disappointed. I’ve made that mistake and I’ve learnt and I’ve educated myself and grew up to understand how offensive and wrong it was.”
