Love Island 2017's Mike Thalassitis has died aged 26, his management has confirmed.
The Celebs Go Dating star and semi-professional footballer - nicknamed 'Muggy Mike' during his time on the show - was found in woodland near his home in Essex yesterday (Friday March 15th).
While the cause of his death has not yet been determined, his manager confirmed the devastating news and tributes from fellow Love Island stars - including Amber Davies and Chris Hughes - have since poured in.
Asking press and fans alike to remain sensitive in light of the news, Chris wrote: "His name wasn’t Muggy Mike.
"Please stop brandishing that. His name was Mike Thalassitis, and every inch of my heart goes out to his family & friends. A good guy, taken far, far to soon. 💔".
Love Island 2017 winner Kem Cetinay tweeted: "Such heartbreaking news. My thoughts go out to all of Mikes friends and family 💔," with his ex-partner Amber Davies saying: "I am in utter shock. @MikeThalassitis you were one of the most genuine guy! I just can’t believe this! You’ll be missed so much you have no idea 😢".
Fellow 2017 Islander Dom Lever also paid tribute, saying: "I’m shocked at the news!! me and @MikeThalassitis may not have seen eye to eye but he was a top guy 💔🙏🏻."
