Months after confirming she was loved-up with a mystery new man, Love Island 2021 star Amy Day finally confirmed the identity of boyfriend earlier this week.
After teasing that her other half had a reality TV past when heat caught up with her at Winter Wonderland back in November, Amy revealed her boyfriend was none other than Shipwrecked 2019 star Patrick Deaco.
Landscape gardener Patrick appeared on the E4 show almost three years ago alongside Married At First Sight Australia’s Joshua Christie and throwback snaps from the programme show him look VERY different to how he does these days.
While 2022 Patrick sports a series of tattoos across his chest, arms and hands, he wasn’t as heavily inked when he appeared on Shipwrecked with only one chest tattoo and half a sleeve visible when he stripped off on the beach.
Although Patrick rocked his trademark long hair on the show - which was filmed in the Cook Islands - he looks considerably fresher faced with neatly trimmed facial hair, while he has a slightly edgier look in the present day. We’re getting Jason Momoa vibes tbh.
A scroll through Patrick’s Instagram reveals even more throwback photos, with one even showing him without his man mane and honestly, we’re shook. We barely recognised him without his long hair.
During his time on Shipwrecked, Patrick caused quite the stir on social media when he claimed he “couldn’t lose a challenge to a girl” as he was pitted against Courtney Butcher in a task to build some furniture out of a box of wood to impress the other contestants and stay on the island.

Jeff Brazier - then
Jeff is that you? Baby faced Jeff starred in the third series at the tender age of 23 and he's never looked back.
Jeff Brazier - now
Things started slow after he left the island (Big Brother panto with June Sarpong?) but Jeff's career has gone from strength to strength. Presenting on everything from This Morning and I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now to BT Sport (he is a former footballer after all). He is also a dad to Bobby and Freddie from his relationship with Jade Goody who sadly passed away in 2009.
Ben the Builder - then
Ben Lunt, a builder who took a monkey costume as his luxury item (classic), quickly became one of the fans favorites in 2007.
Ben the Builder - now
Ben Lunt turned his back on fame, after some presenting work and he is now happily married to heat's Lucie Cave, with who he has two children. He's also now has his own construction company and fantastic beard.
Stephen Bear - then
When he was still just a cub, Stephen appeared on the eighth series. If he wasn't slaughtering a wild pig, he was threatening to beat up a fellow islander over rations. "If I weren't on this island I'd punch you black and blue. I'll knock you clean out so fast mate you're a weasel," he said on the show.
Stephen Bear - now
Fast forward ten years; Bear is still..... Bear. Following a doomed relationship with Vicky Pattinson and another with Charlotte Crosby, Stephen even popped up in TOWIE and has continued to do the reality TV rounds. He's starred on Ex on the Beach, Celebs Go Dating and Celebrity Big Brother.
Josh Christie - then
Josh joined the island late only to leave early – and fans in tears. After his grandad was taken ill, Josh decided to jump ship.
Josh Christie - now
Josh got a taste for reality TV and was next found looking for love and marrying total stranger Amy Christophers in Channel 4's Married At First Sight. While she was spiritual and open, Josh was closed off and quiet. Despite lust at first sight, their differences proved too much and they split. According to his Instagram Josh is now a trainer and DJ.
Sarah-Jane Crawford - then
Sarah-Jane starred in the third series of the T4 show and it's fair to say she has probably gone on to be one of the most successful islanders.
Sarah-Jane Crawford - now
Sarah-Jane has worked everywhere in radio and TV, she's hosted The Xtra Factor, Radio 1Xtra and even appeared on Celebs Go Dating. Most recently she started her own parenting podcast called "A Womb Of One's Own".

“He can go home just for assuming he should win purely because he’s against a girl,” wrote one, while another added, “Hope Patrick goes home after the ‘If I lose a building challenge to a girl’ comment.” However, Patrick did end up staying on the island and made it all the way to the end where his team, The Tigers, won the £50,000 cash prize.
After going public with Patrick earlier this week, Amy gushed over her new man as she revealed they’ve already moved in together and discussed marriage and babies. So, things are serious then…
The 2021 Islander told OK!, "I'm so happy, he's literally the dream. He's Thor's double! He's a mix of Thor and Jason Momoa, who's Aquaman."

Despite first getting to know each other before Amy rose to fame on Love Island, it wasn’t until she was dumped from the villa after her failed romance with Hugo Hammond that the pair started dating properly.
She explained, "I went on the show, came out and we just both naturally messaged each other saying, 'I'm still single, would you want to see me again?' And it's made us realise we actually have something special, so yeah it's all been a bit crazy!
"I just feel really content, I've also just moved in with him. We're doing the flat up so it's a manic time to move in but you've got to have your challenges in the relationship so this is a good one. I feel really content which is so nice, I found a man which is what I kept stressing [about], I needed a man and I found a man."
