We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but in case you haven’t noticed, there’s just a little over 24 hours until this year’s Celebrity Big Brother comes to an end.
That’s right, tomorrow night (Friday 25 April), either Donna Preston, Danny Beard, Chesney Hawkes, Jack P Shepherd, JoJo Siwa or Chris Hughes will be crowned the Celebrity Big Brother 2025 champion.
Now, we’re not biased or anything, but we have to admit that we’ve had a soft spot for Danny Beard ever since he won series four of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and we’ve been loving him on CBB. And we love him even more after his Drag Race UK co-star Jonbers Blonde revealed that he’s been his ‘authentic’ self in the house.
Chatting exclusively to heat about his close friend Danny’s stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house, Jonbers told us, ‘The housemates are 100 percent getting the authentic Danny, Danny is a very caring person and is very nurturing and we are seeing that.
‘Especially the conversation with JoJo about gender where he was saying if you say you’re non-binary and then in two years decide you’re not non-binary, that’s absolutely your prerogative to do that. Danny is a very caring person, he’s been there for me throughout many moments throughout Drag Race and in personal life.’
Jonbers – who starred on serious four of Drag Race UK alongside Danny before going on to take part in series two of Drag Race UK vs the World – continued, ‘Danny is such a genuine person that he really is just in there enjoying the experience and trying to get to know everybody in the house. He wants to know everybody’s opinion and he allows everybody to have an opinion.
‘You can see that in the dynamic between him and Daley [Thompson]. They had the conversation where Daley said he’ll be going to Danny’s shows but then went into the Diary Room and nominated him. Danny’s not that type of person, if Danny’s got something to say he will say it to your face.
‘All of the conversations are upfront, there’s no secret conversations. There’s no wall and he’s genuinely being himself. I am watching the Danny that I know and I’m so happy that the nation is getting to see the Danny that I love very much.’
Jonbers even admitted that Danny could win the show, adding, ‘Danny is being genuinely himself, that’s the Danny I’m on the phone to. I think he has it in him to take the double crown.’
