It may have been a week since the Love Island reunion when all the 2021 Islanders (except Jake Cornish, who was ill) came together one last time for a special episode of Aftersun, but the fallout from the show still rumbles on.

Viewers were less than impressed with the reunion and labelled it “awkward” and “boring” on social media, with some also questioning why Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank were the only finalists not to be interviewed on the sofa. This led to host Laura Whitmore speaking out on Instagram to defend the show.

However, Laura has found herself under fire once again as OG Islander Brad McClelland has hit out at the presenter for asking “stupid” questions.

Brad spoke out after shocking fans with a rather unexpected reply when asked how he felt about his former flame Lucinda Strafford cracking on with Aaron Francis just 24 hours after he left the villa.

“Yeah I loved it, it turned me on,” Brad quipped during the reunion, leaving viewers stunned.

Explaining his response, Brad said, “The reason I answered the way I did, is because every single interview I did upon leaving asked me 'how did seeing Lucinda with Aaron make you feel?'

“I'm sick of answering that question, I'm sure the public are sick of hearing us answer that question, so I thought 'd'ya know what? Screw this, I'll come up with a daft question!'”

He added to OK!, “Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer!”

Love Island's Jake Cornish spills the tea on 'unaired' Liberty scenes after missing reunion

Brad isn’t the only Islander to hit out at the reunion, after Shannon Singh savagely branded it a “f--king waste of time”. The Scottish model and influencer, who was dumped from the villa after just 48 hours, told fans she was swerving the after party in favour of “bed and Dominos”.

But although she initially made light of the situation, Shannon later opened up about feeling “mugged off” and “bullied” after the reunion in an emotional video posted on her Twitch channel.

She said, “I’m in a really weird headspace, guys. I’m really sad to be honest. I just feel like the show has completely mugged me off, if I’m completely honest. Last night I was really angry as I sat about for nine hours all day. They mic’ed me up, briefed me on questions and then completely disregarded me, which was fine.

“I just thought, after how they dumped me, I thought I’d get some better treatment. I’ve been crying and stuff all day, as I just feel like I’ve been completely humiliated in front of everyone. I just thought it was really unnecessary to be honest. It was kind of bullying, a little bit.”
