Actually, we take that back - kind of - as Maura Higgins is basically a Hollywood starlet at this point and she DID date an actual movie star.
Anyway, this latest news is that Love Island 2022, bombshell Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has been nominated for an Emmy Award and we bet you didn't have that on your 2024 bingo card.
The Turkish actress won the dating show alongside her ex Davide Sanclimenti back in 2022 and later took part in Celebrity Big Brother to, ahem, mixed reactions.
But it is her stint on The Traitors USA that has only gone and landed her an Emmy Award and to be fair she was BURIED ALIVE during an episode; surely that alone means she deserves some sort of accolade.
But alas it turns out that it isn't solely Ekin-Su who has been nominated for her iconic role on the programme; The Traitors has been selected for the Outstanding Cinematography For A Reality Programme category and who even knew there was such an award?
Ekin-Su is set to attend the Emmy Awards ceremony where she is likely to be rubbing shoulders with countless A-list celebs including Reese Witherspoon and Idris Elba. All right for some, isn't it?
The Traitors was one of the most-talked about shows of the past year with the Aussie version and UK counterpart also making for hella good telly. It also managed to make stars out of several contestants including Diane Carson and Paul Gorton who have become pop culture icons.
