It’s only been a matter of days since Jacques O’Neill decided to quit the Love Island villa following the breakdown of his relationship with Paige Thorne, however it seems he’s already in high demand for more TV work.
According to reports, the rugby player has been offered a major payday to appear on the next series of Celebs Go Dating after failing to find love on the ITV2 show.
However, Jacques is said to have turned down the E4 dating show as he’s hopeful of rekindling his romance with Paige when she leaves the villa – despite her appearing to move on with returning Islander Adam Collard.
A TV insider revealed how dating experts Anna Williamson and Paul Carrick Brunson are keen to work with Jacques, who told his followers, “I’ve got a lot of work to do for myself to become a better person,” after leaving the villa.
They told The Sun, “It’s very early days and bookers for Celebs Go Dating have only really just got started.
“But an Islander always makes for a great signing and Jacques is a real stand-out, particularly because he’s already shown that he’s willing to put the work in and really change. That’ll make him a really credible candidate for the agency’s help, never mind be someone that fans would tune in for.”
The source added, “But Jacques wants to wait for Paige so it may well be too late by the time she emerges.”

After packing his bags and returning home, Jacques admitted that appearing on Love Island was “the worst decision of [his] life.”
He said, “I was ready to break down. I was feeling so mentally drained, I just wanted to go home and get myself right. It broke me and I was already broken. I was crying my eyes out. I couldn’t cope. I was literally feeling awful. It was the worst I’d ever felt in my life.
"I watched the Casa Amor episodes to torture myself and look at my actions. I was disgusted in myself, I understand the hate. I’m feeling quite numb. I will wait for Paige on the outside, but I’m not watching the show again, I can’t do it.”
