Ever since Love Island couple Jessie Wynter and Will Young rose to fame on the winter 2023 series of the ITV2 show they’ve been super busy, with Jessie forging a career as an influencer while Will still works on the farm – he even wrote a book about it.

But the loved up pair’s latest venture has been revealed and it’s a cracking, super sweet job. They’ve teamed up with yours truly to take part in heat’s Easter egg taste test, rating the sweet treats that are worth shell-ing out on.

We wish we could stop with the puns but we just can’t, soz.

Taking a break from lambing season, Jessie and Will swapped wellies for chocolate wrappers and got their hands deliciously dirty.

But were tastebuds in sync, or did things get a little scrambled?

JENNY THE SHEEP WHITE CHOCOLATE EASTER EGG

Betty's, £18

W: Let’s make the sheep kiss. They can have little lambs together.

J: You do not need more lambs, Will.

W: But I need chocolate, so I’m cracking into her. Time to bite her ear off.

J: Oh nooo! That’s wrong.

W: What feels wrong is this chocolate. It’s a bit basic. No wow factor.

J: Yeah, I was expecting something creamier.

W: Sorry, Jenny. You’re adorable, but you’re not making it into the Easter barn of fame.

NO.1 THE CHOCOLATE CROISSANT EASTER EGG

Waitrose, £15

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

J: Wowee, this actually looks like a real croissant.

W: I feel like I should be eating this in a Parisian café.

J: The caramel flavour is unreal. So rich and buttery, and the texture is all chewy goodness. This one’s a five for me.

W: You can’t just give everything a five! We need standards.

J: My standard is delicious, and this is very delicious.

W: Alright. I’ll admit, it’s dangerously moreish.

LAMB & MINT CHOCOLATE EASTER SANDWICH

Hotel Chocolat, £11.95

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

J: It’s a lamb sandwich. Two perfect little halves.

W: I’ll take his bottom.

J: The minty notes are so good – really fresh, but not too overpowering. Like an after-dinner mint.

W: It’s like After Eights got a glow-up. I’d happily munch my way through a whole flock of these.

REESE'S CHOCOLATE & PEANUT BUTTER GIANT FILLED EASTER EGG

Tesco, £14

W: I can smell that peanut butter from a mile away.

J: And there is a lot of it. I never realised how salty Reese’s peanut butter was until now. It’s a bit overwhelming.

W: Yeah, it’s definitely teetering on too much. Feels like they just stuffed an entire jar in there.

J: The milk chocolate shell is lovely, though. If they dialled back the filling just a smidge, this would be a winner.

PATISSERIE CHOCOLATE OSTRICH EASTER EGG

Hotel Chocolat, £90

W: An ostrich egg?! Now, that’s something I wouldn’t mind finding on the farm.

J: It’s seriously thick and premium – £90 is steep, but it does feel like a luxury Easter treat.

W: There’s over one kilo of chocolate in here.

J: The cookies and cream side is so smooth, like a posh Oreo.

W: And the brownie side? The pecan pieces give it a nice crunch.

J: Ooh, and these truffles feel like bonus treats.

BLOOD ORANGE CRUNCH EASTER EGG

Cox & Co, £12.50

J: Wow, this smells intense. That’s some serious dark chocolate energy.

W: And it tastes just as strong. Too bitter for me. I think this is my least favourite of the lot.

J: I was hoping for a proper zesty orange kick, but the citrus gets totally drowned out. It’s all dark chocolate, no juicy tang. The texture’s not the smoothest melt, either.

W: My grandma loved dark chocolate. She would’ve been all over this.

TONY'S CHOCOLONELY MILK CARAMEL SEA SALT EASTER EGG

£12

W: You’ve got to run your finger down the crack and stick it in.

J: That sounds so wrong.

W: I’m just saying. It’s a solid egg, and you’ve got to break in properly. The saltiness is spot on.

J: It balances out the sweet caramel really well. This is a winner for me.

HAPPI SALTED HONEYCOMB OAT M!LK CHOCOLATE EASTER EGG

Waitrose, £10

W: I don’t think I’ve ever had oat milk in chocolate. Though you love it in your coffee, don’t you, Jessie?

J: You can definitely smell the oatiness in this. The more you eat of this, the more you want.

W: To be fair, for a dairy-free egg, it holds up alright. But the chocolate itself does taste a little farm-like? Maybe I’m just thinking about all the oats I feed the animals.

TOBLERONE EDGY EASTER EGG MILK CHOCOLATE EGG WITH TRUFFLES

Tesco, £15

⭐️⭐️⭐️

J: This is exactly what you’d expect from Toblerone. No gimmicks, just that classic honey and almond nougat crunch we all know and love.

W: I’m a big Toblerone fan, so this is right up my street. The angular shape makes it stand out, but aside from that, it doesn’t do much to surprise me. It’s good, but it’s pretty much what you’d get from a regular Toblerone bar.

SPECIALLY SELECTED MILK CHOCOLATE BUNNY

Aldi, £1.99

J: Does anybody else like to put warm milk inside their Easter bunnies?

W: Jessie swears by it. Fills it up then drinks it with a straw. It’s a whole ritual.

J: Don’t knock it till you try it. This bunny might not have Lindt-level luxury, but for a budget Easter treat, it does the job.

JUMBO MARSHMALLOW COOKIE EASTER EGG - heat WINNER!

Cutter & Squidge, £37.99

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

J: We’re definitely going to need a spoon for this one. It looks unreal.

W: Gosh, it’s so gooey. The marshmallow is sensational – melt-in-your-mouth dreamy. That wins. Full stop. I don’t need to taste anything else.

J: Will, calm down. It’s definitely delicious, but it’s so rich. I think I need a breather after just one bite.

W: No, Jessie, I’m being serious. The mousse is decadent, the white chocolate is silky, and there’s this little bit of crunch that just sends it over the edge. The weight of it alone – it’s a proper Easter feast.

SCRUMMY BUNNY MUNCH LOADED EGG

Marks & Spencer, £12

J: I had my eye on this bad boy in M&S the other day. It’s giving Easter chaos, and I’m here for it.

W: I think the other loaded egg has stolen my heart, but this one is still bringing the munch.

J: I really like it. The mix-ins are fun – there’s white chocolate-covered popcorn for sweetness, pretzels adding that perfect salty crunch, and little raspberry jelly pieces. It’s generously stuffed, so you get a bit of everything in each bite.

W: Would I inhale it in one sitting? Absolutely.

COCOBA GIANT MILK CHOCOLATE EASTER EGG

Cocoba Chocolate, £225

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

J: I feel like I’m holding our firstborn.

W: Our little chocolate baby. We’ll take good care of you… for the next five seconds.

J: I’m genuinely scared I’m going to drop it. That’s £225-worth of devastation waiting to happen.

W: Speaking of smashing, pass me a mallet. I’m ready to crack into this bad boy.

J: It’s so thick. Proper Easter chocolate – creamy, rich, and exactly what you want in a giant egg.

W: Worth the workout just to lift it.

COCONUT EASTER EGG

meltchocolates.com, £38.99

J: This is so messy. The coating is getting everywhere.

W: Not a fan of this texture at all.

J: The white chocolate itself is smooth, but I was expecting a big coconut hit. Instead, I’m hunting for the coconut pieces like they’re hidden treasure.

W: For nearly £40, I want to feel like I’m on a tropical island, not licking a chalkboard.
