Are we the only ones that sit here imagining David Attenborough narrating our Love Island couples' transition into the real world after the final? Seriously, watching them all set foot on UK soil, arm in arm, after weeks of co-existing in the Love Island villa together is just fascinating. Where will our couples go? What will our couples do? Which fellow Islanders will they see on the outside? And, obv, how long will our couples last?
Even seeing them all back on their socials is wild; a reminder that they are all, in fact, human beings and not our Love Island dolls to play with.
It is fascinating, though, and one Love Island 2024 couple we're keeping an especially close eye on is Joey Essex and Jessy Potts. The couple were dumped from the villa just hours ahead of the final following a brutal AF fire pit dumping at the hand of some of their scorned ex Islanders (*cough cough Sam and Grace cough cough*).
But, we have a feeling Joey's fairly partial to the odd whopping telly pay check, being a TOWIE icon and all, and he did leave finding love, so every cloud and all that.
We're obviously now obsessed to see what the coming weeks have in store for the new couple, as it's safe to say Joey's lifestyle is a tad different to Jessy's - as was brought up time and time again in the villa.
But, from the looks of things, Joey plans to bring Jessy along for the ride from the get go, as he's only gone and arranged their first date at his favourite restaurant EVER – Sheesh. Yep, the one that frequently pops up on the Instagram stories of former Islanders and TOWIE stars. And when we say, fave restaurant ever, we are NOT KIDDING.
According tom All Stars' Chris Taylor – who lives near Joey in Essex – there was a period of time when Joey frequented Sheesh for breakfast, lunch and dinner DAILY.
If you're rolling your eyes or laughing at Joey's selection for his and Jessy's first date IRL, don't worry, you're not the only one – Jessy found the funny side, too.
Sharing a snap of her and Joey at Sheesh in London on her Instagram story, she wrote, "Obviously the first place he takes me is @sheesh_uk."

Jessy chose to couple up with Joey at her first recoupling. Since leaving the villa, Jessy has opened up about her first meeting with the TOWIE star.
"I loved our first date, I was very intrigued by Joey right from the beginning and I was interested in getting to know him as a person away from anything I’d seen previously."
