We’ve got a special place in our hearts for Love Island 2016 originalsOlivia and Alex Bowen, who were the first couple to put a ring on it. Even though a load of Love Island stars came after them, they're still one of the most popular couples to EVER come out of the show.

Fast forward five years, a TLC TV show Olivia and Alex: Happily Ever After, many businesses and a house renovation later, the pair are now expecting their first child!

Announcing the news on Instagram on New Years Day 2022, Olivia, who has hid her pregnancy spectacularly on Instagram, shared the happy news with a collage of polaroid photos.

She simply said, ‘Happy New… Baby Bowen.’

Olivia and Alex's showbiz pals quickly flocked to the comments to congratulate the news, with Lateysha Grace saying, 'Omg guys 🥺❤️.'

Kaz Kamwi wrote, 'Omgggg😍 congratulations!!❤️❤️.'

The couple have spoken out about their plans to have a family over the years, with Olivia revealing that even though she has been a little reluctant, Alex has always dreamed of becoming a dad.

Speaking recently, Olivia said on Instagram, 'We’ve been talking about kids recently. We’d love to have one in the near future, which I don’t think we were ready for before.

'It was a bit of a revelation – I’ve got a picture of us when we decided that we’d not worry about contraception any more.'

She added, 'We’re not putting any pressure on it, but that’s our next step. I feel like I’m such an un-motherly person, but suddenly something changes. You just grow up. We’ve got so much to look forward to.'
