Before 2017, Marcel Somerville (aka 'Rocky B') was best known for his part in 10-piece boyband Blazin' Squad, that was until he appeared on Love Island in the summer of 2017 and left the villa loved-up with Gabby Allen.
Despite the new series of Love Island about to kick off, Marcel has been in most of our search engines ever since! Are Marcel and Gabby still together? Will there ever be a Blazin' Squad reunion? Here's everything you need to know!
Who is Marcel Somerville?
Marcel Somerville is a 33-year-old Music Professional who lives in London. He used to be a part of 10 piece boyband Blazin' Squad and went by his stage name of 'Rocky B'. Their first single 'Crossroads' charted at number 1 and they went on to garner even more success with singles 'Love on the line', 'Reminisce' and 'Flip Reverse'.
Since then, Marcel has become a producer and a DJ, and is the founder of a record label called 'Dmode'.
He's now mostly know for appearing on the third series of Love Island back in 2017, where he coupled up with Liverpudlian Gabby Allen. The pair made it all the way to the final, but they were pipped by Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies.
Are Love Island's Gabby and Marcel still together?
Nope! Despite having serious hope of a wedding between Marcel and Gabby, things went seriously South when Marcel was caught cheating on Gabby whilst the pair were on holiday together.
After Gabby dumped him, Marcel's rep told OK! Magazine, "Sadly the rumours are true, Gabby and Marcel have split up. Marcel can't really defend his actions as he knows he did wrong and will regret it forever."
It then continued, "Marcel is upset that he broke the heart of someone he loves and someone that he shared so many special moments with, but with all the good times there are difficult times, and sadly Marcel and Gabby had been in a bad place at this stage.
"Gabby was a special part of Marcel's life, and he hopes one day she can find it in herself to forgive him. He knows what he did was wrong and is extremely sad about how he has hurt Gabby.
