We can almost guarantee when someone decides to take part in Love Island they don't plan on ending up getting matching tattoos with a fellow Islander weeks after they leave the villa - and yet here we are.

Harriett Blackmore was booted out of the Love Island 2024 villa on day 26 (far too early in our opinion) on the arm of Ronnie Vint and although the couple attempted to make a go of the romance IRL, alas, it was not to be.

The duo recently announced they had split; well, technically it was Matilda Draper who let the world of social media know they were no longer an item (via a TikTok no less).

Possibly the most Gen Z behaviour, ever.

Not only that, but Matilda, who recently split from Sean Stone, and Harriett have been spending a hell of a lot of time together and making more TikTok's than we can keep up with (lies - we see them all).

We didn't even realise that these two were that close in the villa but it turns out they were close enough to get ink together. Yep, you read that correctly Harriett and Matilda have gone and got matching tattoos. Well, kind of.

We have to confess that as much as we enjoy when the contestants find love in the villa – it IS a dating show after all – there is something about a platonic Love Island friendship that thaws our ice cold hearts.

Just take Molly Mae Hague and Maura Higgins for example, or Chloe Burrows and Millie Court; the latter have spent more holidays together than an old married couple.

Posting a pic on her Instagram story, Matilda tagged her BFF as she shared a photo of their new ink with the caption, 'Got my dolly on me for life @harriettblackmorex.'

The greyscale image features body parts (we are guessing feet, but honestly who knows) with the word 'DOLLY' on one person and the letter 'H' on another.

Harriett reshared the pic on her own Instagram story and we have to say Love Island stars getting matching tattoos wasn't on our Bingo card for 2024 but we are more than here for it.
