They went through a turbulent time in the Love Island villa when he played away during Casa Amor, but Millie Court and Liam Reardon managed to make their relationship work in the outside world after winning Love Island 2021.

The pair briefly split in 2022 after a year together before rekindling their romance a year later and making us believe that maybe true love did exist after all, however Millie and Liam have reportedly called quits on their romance once again and we’re GUTTED.

According to reports, Millie and Liam struggled to make their relationship work as she’s based in Essex and he’s based in Wales. Gavin and Stacey, this ain’t.

‘Millie and Liam have tried so hard to make their relationship work. But unfortunately, the distance was just difficult and they have sadly ended their relationship for a second time,’ a source told The Sun.

‘Obviously, they've worked things out before, so friends are hoping this might just be a blip as it's all still very fresh.

‘But right now they are spending time apart. Everyone who loves them hopes they can work it out.’

Millie and Liam’s representatives have been contacted for comment.

The former couple split for the first time a year after winning Love Island and moving in together. At the time, they admitted it had been a ‘tough decision’.

‘I am gutted but it’s ultimately what is best for us right now. Thank you to every single one of you for supporting our relationship,’ Millie wrote on Instagram.

She added, ‘Nothing will ever take away from the amazing experience we shared in Love Island & the past year and I wish Liam all the best in everything he does. We’re both ready for new chapters and I’m excited for what’s next. Love, Millie ❤️.’

Millie was later forced to deny speculation Liam had cheated on her, telling her followers, ‘I'd also like to ask you guys not to believe everything you read in the press or have seen on social media. Last thing I want is people to say nasty things about Liam or put the blame on him, or vice versa, it wouldn't have ended on a good note like it did if anything had happened.

‘Going through a break up is hard enough as it is, let alone when people are spreading nasty rumours that are simply not true. Please remember we are human beings too, we have feelings and to always, always be kind. You never really know what someone is going through.’

The pair reunited a year later, but had been living apart in a long-distance relationship.
