Love Island winners Paige Turley and Finn Tapp shocked us all this time last year when it was revealed that they’d split after three years together. But, just a few months later, it came to light that they’d filmed the latest series of Celebrity Ex on the Beach together, leaving fans hopeful for a reunion.
But when it was announced that Paige and Finn would be coming face-to-face on the MTV show for the first time since they broke up, the pair found themselves facing claims they’d faked their split only to reunite on camera.
Paige has now spoken out on the speculation and not only that, but she’s shed some light on where she stands with Finn now.
The reality star and singer was quizzed about her relationship with Finn on the latest episode of the Straight to the Comments! podcast when host Josh Pieters asked, “Hold on, did you fake your breakup with Mr Finn Tapp?”
Paige responded, “No, I wish I did, to be honest – less traumatic!”
Speaking about reports claiming she and Finn were back together, Paige continued, “But like, this is what I don't understand. How they can write this kind of stuff, where are they getting it from? Why would somebody pretend to break up? I think people think we're together now, let me rest assure, we're not.”
After confirming that she’s definitely not rekindled her romance with Finn, Paige appeared to reference claims that her ex spent the night with their Ex on the Beach co-star and former Married At First Sight Australia bride Tamara Joy.
“The last I heard, he was getting to know another cast member pretty well,” Paige shadily added before revealing she and Finn were on “amicable” terms.
It was reported last week that Finn and Tamara hooked up the night before the Celebrity Ex on the Beach launch party in London last month, leaving Paige “devastated” and putting an end to their potential reunion.
“It came as a real shock to Paige who was finally giving Finn the second chance he wanted,” a source told The Sun.
“After spending so much time together again they both decided to try again - but Finn's fling with Tamara has thrown a massive spanner in the works.
“Paige felt really uncomfortable seeing Tamara at the party - she feels betrayed."
