It’s been three years since we last saw on her on Made in Chelsea and since then Sophie Habboo has smashing it in the worlds of podcasts, presenting and influencing.

Not only does she have over 900,000 followers on Instagram, but Sophie also hosts two successful podcasts; the Wednesdays podcast with Melissa Tattam and the Newlyweds podcast with her husband Jamie Laing.

And now, Sophie and Jamie have just another huge job they’ll be working on together.

Last year, Jamie joined BBC Radio 1 to co-host the Going Home show alongside Vick Hope and Katie Thistleton following Jordan North’s departure from the station.

Both Katie and Vick, who is expecting her first child with DJ husband Calvin Harris, are now on maternity leave – which means Jamie is need of a new co-host. And who better to join him than Sophie?

It’s been announced that Sophie will be co-presenting the Going Home show with Jamie from Monday to Wednesday each week from 2 June until 18 June, making them the first married couple to do so.

‘I’m thrilled to finally announce that I’ll be joining the Radio 1 family for the next few weeks! I’ve always loved how radio connects people across the nation in real time, and I’m honoured to be stepping in for Vick while she starts her exciting new chapter of life,’ Sophie said.

‘Anyone who knows me knows I’m no stranger to talking to a mic for hours, so I’m excited to connect with new people, dive into some great conversations and hopefully share a few laughs along the way. I’ll also be making a bit of Radio 1 history presenting alongside my husband Jamie Laing, which feels really special (and probably a bit chaotic in the best way). Catch you on-air!’

But after Sophie and Jamie announced the exciting news on Instagram, singer Paloma Faith pointed out a potential problem.

‘What if you argue at home then have to go on? AWKS,’ she wrote.

Let’s hope that doesn't happen...
