Made in Chelsea is back with a bang. But while some cast members stuck to the show's usual stomping ground of the King's Road for the first two episodes, others flew out to the Maldives for a signature drama-fuelled trip. We expected nothing less, honestly.

And when heat caught up exclusively with lovebirds Tristan Phipps and Jules Pollard - who made their romance official in Cape Town on New Year's Eve - they laugh when we naively ask if any major fall-outs are in store for series 29.

'You know that's going to happen!' Tristan, 29, says. 'Some of the unsurprising people are up to the same old tricks. I think patience has run out in certain capacities. I've got no time for some people anymore. What's the expression? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.'

He adds, 'I think I've moved forward in a direction that I'm really enjoying. Friendships I maybe wasn't so sure of are fading out, and the friendships that I really value and respect are really blossoming.'

Elsewhere, ex-safari guide Tristan - who has previously dated MIC co-stars including Olivia Bentley, Lauren Sintès and Yasmine Zweegers - tells us he's never felt so 'connected and secure' with someone the way he has with Jules.

'Tristan's in his lover boy era,' Jules says. 'He's got a heart of gold.'

While Tristan has been part of the Made in Chelsea fold since 2018, Jules only joined the reality show scene last year. But she credits Made in Chelsea for 'bringing her out of her shell', as she explains, 'I'm definitely showing my personality a lot more. I'm quite a jokey person and I feel like people are starting to see that, which I'm happy about.

'Before I joined the show, I wasn't confrontational. Now, I just don't stand for any bulls**t. It's for valid reasons. If I care about something and someone's trying to f**k it up or get involved, then that's when I will have to sass someone. I'm not having that, because this is my real life. You get a lot of opinions from certain people on the show. So you definitely see a sassy side to me!'

Made in Chelsea airs Monday at 9pm on E4 or stream on Channel 4.
