Slight caveat before we begin; we're not saying that winter Love Island's Aaron Waters didn't look fit in the villa – it's just we don't remember him looking THIS FIT. Like, fitlord fit.
Love Island Australia's Aaron and Jessie Wynter entered the villa on day 7 of winter Love Island as a twist on the classic bombshell/Adam Collard trope. Sadly, the social experiment worked out for Jessie (who is now coupled up with goldenly Will Young) and crashed and burned for Aaron who failed to form any strong connections while in the villa – despite having a set square for a jawline.
As a result, he was brutally dumped from the Island alongside bombshell Spencer Wilks on day 21.
As far as we can tell, Aaron skipped the regular press rounds in London and flew straight back home to Australia after exiting the villa – this is when our eyebrows started to raise, btw.
Since getting his phone back, Aaron has been pretty active on Instagram, documenting his journey back home, as well as his seemingly brutal jet lag.
One thing he's failed to mention, however, is why he now looks like a totally different person, just days after leaving our screens. Truth be told, Love Island fans haven't really been talking about this, so it was up to us to figure out what's different with Mr Waters in the outside world. Because we're paid to do this.
After spending way too much time pursuing Aaron's Love Island scenes (LOL, all two or three of them – no shade) and his hot af Instagram grid, it clicked; clean-shaven Adam is suddenly sporting some sexy dark stubble and it looks GOOD on him.
For the majority of his time in the villa, Aaron was completely clean-shaven (tbf we would if we had that god-like jawline), but he's clearly neglected the close shave while he's been travelling back home and we have to say, the shadow suits him.
This is hardly the first time Aaron has done a full 360 on his lewkkk (naturally, every one is a solid 10, btw). Fans of Love Island Australia will already know that Aaron now looks VERY different to his Down Under era. Tall, dark and handsome is Aaron's current vibe, but when he was on the Australian version in 2021 he was all about those bleach blonde locks.
If you haven't already spent a lunch break going through Aaron's old Instagram photos (why wouldn't you?) then do this immediately, because for a time, Aaron – who is now known for his buzzcut – was sporting MUCH longer brunette hair and it's a VIBE.
A hot one, to clarify - Clark Kent vibes.
