Celebs Go Dating 2021 may only just be getting started in its usual format after two series of experiments online and in a Covid ‘bubble’, but filming has already run into difficulty.
According to a telly insider, four of the show’s celebrity sign ups were filming scenes in a restaurant with their dates when a fellow diner suffered a “medical emergency” and cameras were forced to stop filming.

“There was a medical emergency on the set of Celebs Go Dating last night and filming was stopped immediately,” said the source, adding that none of the cast or crew were involved.
“It was pretty terrifying for those there and it left everyone shaken up.The production team has made sure everyone has access to support should they need it. The individual involved was helped immediately and their welfare was the main concern of everyone on set.”
But fans of the show who have been looking forward to a return to normality needn’t worry, as the insider confirmed the Mirror that “filming will continue like normal from today and the incident should not have any effect on the production schedule going forward.”
This year’s celebrity sign ups include TOWIE’s Chloe Brockett, Made in Chelsea lothario Miles Nazaire, former 5ive member Abz Love, controversial Married at First Sight’s Nikita Jasmin, TV presenter Ulrika Johnson and one time The Apprentice contestant Ryan-Mark Parson.
Also returning to the agency are relationship experts and matchmakers Paul Carrick-Brunson and affable receptionist Tom Reed-Wilson.

Chloe Brockett
Despite her complicated love life as of late (she's been linked to co-stars James Lock, Gatsby and Love Island's turned Essex star Jack Fincham) TOWIE's Chloe Brockett is hoping the agents will be able to set her up with someone special this series.
Miles Nazaire
Much like his Essex counterpart, Miles Nazaire has been at the centre of most of Made in Chelsea's love drama recently as he led both Ruby Adler and Maeva D'Ascanio's relationships astray - but that hasn't stopped him signing up for more.
Nikita Jasmin
In news that will surprise absolutely no one, MAFS UK's most controversial contestant has made the move into reality TV following her shocking (and short-lived) stint on the show. Let's hope she can behave herself a bit better on her dates than she did at the MAFS dinner parties.
Abz
Once one fifth of the biggest boyband of the 90s (that's 5ive, obv) Abz is signing up to the agency after attempting to relaunch his pop career with Boyz on the Block last year, comprised of other fledgling former pop stars, and a stint on Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, where he came runner up. In 2015 he was spotted flogging his BRIT Award on eBay to fund a home gardening project.
Ulrika Jonsson
Three years after her divorce from ad exec Brian Monet was finalised, Ulrika is hoping to find hubby number four through the agency. She famously revealed she hadn't had sex in eight years in 2019, so hopefully Paul and Anna can help her get some nookie.
Ryan-Mark Parson
Ah yes, it's this guy. You may remember Mark-Ryan from The Apprentice in 2019 - but then again, you probably don't. He's now known as a political commentator and columnist for The Daily Star, but is evidently hoping to make the move to reality TV personality.
Jessika Power
She infamously found fame on MAFS Australia but it looks like Jessika Power is set to become a hit on UK reality TV too.
Marty McKenna
He's not the first and we doubt he'll be the last Geordie Shore star to feature on Celebs Go Dating. Here's hoping Marty McKenna will have better luck than Chloe Ferry, Charlotte Crosby and Nathan Genry.
Speaking of signing up for the first time, Chloe Brockett said, “I can’t believe I am actually joining the Celebs Go Dating agency, I'm so excited. I would like someone who I can make lovely memories with. I can’t wait to work with Anna and Paul and see what advice they give me; they are so wise!”
Despite a stellar line up already, Celebs Go Dating fans will know that there’s normally two more Celebrity daters that join the agency after the start date and two-time sign up Josh Ritchie – who first appeared in 2019 with then girlfriend Charlotte Crosby and then again as a single man weeks after the split – dropped some hints he could be joining AGAIN on Instagram.
On a post from the official Celebs Go Dating Instagram welcoming this year’s singles to the agency, Josh wrote, “[Any] chance of you lot giving me some more help? 😂😂😂”.

Hmm.
This series will see the return of the London townhouse agency (which we cannot wait to see inside of after its renovations) and the celebs heading out on the town to meet their matches in restaurants, bars, and other fun activities.
Earlier this year producers got around Covid restrictions by renting out “probably the most expensive mansion in the UK” and populating it with celebs including Wayne Linekar, Made in Chelsea’s Sophie Hermann, Geordie Shore’s Chloe Ferry and DJ Tom Zanetti, as well as a gang of regular people in the hopes of making some celeb/non-celeb matches.
As usual though like is drawn to like and the longest lasting relationship to come out of the series was Sophie and Tom’s– though they split weeks later due to their clashing lifestyles.
