There’s going to be some major changes on this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! as the show – hosted by Ant and Dec – takes place in the UK for the first time. Instead of setting up camp in the Australian jungle like they usually do, this year’s celebs will live in a “remote, rural castle” which is believed to be Gwrych Castle in North Wales.
That’s not it either, as there have been rumours that bosses may have to scrap the show’s iconic Bushtucker trials, which often feature creatures and creepy crawlies, due to British animal welfare laws.
It was even claimed that family visits would be banned, meaning the celebs’ loved ones wouldn’t be able to greet them at the end of the bridge, as extra rules were put in place due to the global pandemic.
According to new reports though, bosses have made a “made a U-turn” on banning family members now that the show is taking place in the UK.
Bosses have reportedly spent £100,000 on travel and accommodation for the celebs’ nearest and dearest in previous series, although it’s thought it will be far easier (and cheaper) to get them over to Wales.

While this year’s celebrity line-up is yet to be confirmed, lots of famous faces have been rumoured to take part including Jessie J, Vernon Kay and Tiger King’s Carole Baskin.
The latest name speculated to be in line for a spot on the show is Martin Kemp, who is reportedly in talks with bosses a year after his son Roman finished in third place in the 2019 final behind eventual winner Jacqueline Jossa and runner-up Andrew Whyment.
“Martin would be a key signing for I’m A Celeb this year but there’s a massive price attached to his name,” a source told The Sun.
“ITV approached his management company and they’re talking figures.
“Roman was a hit with viewers during the last series so getting Martin would be a coup.”
