The gross reason why I'm a Celeb contestants have to wear red socks
Speaking to Rylan Clark on his Ry-Union (get it?) podcast, alongside fellow camp mate Vernon, Beverley said that dancer AJ was not shown in a good light as result of the bosses meddling.
"You missed out on the really comedic side of AJ, who is the funniest person, but it didn't tend to show that side of him apparently" she said.
AJ’s disagreements with camp mate Shane Ritchie were featured heavily in last years show. AJ was unhappy with Shane’s housekeeping skills and his frustrations were often shown to boil over.
Beverley continued, "None of us were confrontational, not one of us. Nobody was trying to pull the camera all the time, nobody was moody.
"I think the editing in some way was a little bit unfair because they showed some of lots of people and not very much of other people. But that just goes with the job unfortunately."
Vernon agreed, "Beverley's right, they put together a group of personalities that they knew would get on because there was no friction."

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here's biggest scandals
Ant McPartlin
Dec (aka Dec Donnelly) was left presenting the show without his comedy partner for the first (and we hope last) time in 2018 following Ant's stint in rehab. The duo's friend and This Morning host Holly Willoughby was brought in as his replacement and as much as we love Holly, we were so relieved when Ant returned to Dec's side the following year.
Spencer Matthews
The Made in Chelsea star was forced to leave the show just days after entering the jungle in 2015, after he admitted he was addicted to steroids. Spencer had started taking the pills in the build up to a charity boxing match and had failed to stop before entering the jungle. "Taking these pills was a serious error of judgement, which I hugely regret," he said in a statement.
Nick Knowles
Nick Knowles was exposed for lying after he told his camp mates a random story in 2018, about a time he "jammed" on a roof top with the band Biffy Clyro. "I'm really sorry to shatter the illusion everyone has that we had a proper heavy jam with Nick Knowles because that didn't happen I'm afraid," the band's drummer Ben Johnson told Radio 1.
Fixing claims
Rebekah Vardy hinted that the show was "fix" following her feud with Iain Lee. At the time she told The Sun, "It seems that so many scenes weren't aired on the show."
Jack Maynard
YouTuber Jack Maynard quit the show just two days into the 2017 series, following allegations he had sent inappropriate messages to a 14-year-old fan. Jack later apologised for the texts and told The Sun, "I wasn't aware she was 14. We had some flirty messages between me and her which got out of hand".
Gemma Collins
The GC proved she was a true diva in 2017 after walking out of camp after just a few days. Getting thrown into Jungle Jail and being fed just porridge proved too much for the star. "People who murder get treated better than this. That's the truth. Even a murderer gets fed three times a day," she said on the show.
Strawberry-gate
Who could forget Strawberry-gate? In 2017, Iain Lee and Amir Khan shamelessly ate the camp's dingo dollar prize – strawberries and cream - before getting back to their campmates. Amir let his "friend" take the blame and the whole camp turned against Iain.
Scenes edited
I'm A Celeb faced one of its biggest scandals following reports that Myles Stephenson told Jacqueline Jossa about the allegations surrounding Dan Osborne and Gabby Allen. The alleged scenes were not aired and at the time it was reported that the former EastEnders star threatened to quit the show.
Gino D'Acampo and a rat
I'm A Celeb 2009's king of the jungle Gino and Hollyoaks star Stuart Manning went to extreme measures when they were low on food - they cooked a rat. They both found themselves in hot water with animal rights activists and ITV had to pay a fine.
Ferne McCann
Ferne's eating Bushtucker trial, where she ate everything from a live water spider to a bull's penis, caused outrage. Despite receiving nearly 1,500 complaints, I'm A Celeb were cleared by the TV watchdog.
Gillian McKeith
The one you've been waiting for, famous for smuggling salt into camp in her knickers, Gillian fainted after being nominated for her SEVENTH bush tucker trial in 2010. After being taken away to receive medical treatment, her trial was finished by Linford Christie.

"But I've heard from the inside there was a moment in week one when they had a production meeting on how they could possibly turn it nasty," Vernon said.
He continued,"When they saw the viewing figures, they were like, 'Why would we want to ruin it?' And they let us go with it, they let us embrace each other instead of being fractious."
Thank goodness.
In other I'm A Celeb news, stars have been accused of breaking the rules just a a few days after returning to camp.
As storm Arwen battered the castle last week, causing a reported £1 million worth of damage, the stars were evacuated but now they're back along with some secret contraband items.
According to The Sun, the I’m A Celeb bosses have secretly given the camp mates handwarmers, disguised in hessian sacks, with oldest campmate choreographer Arlene Phillips and former BBC Breakfast host Louise Minchin thought to be using them.
Arlene had been struggling in the days before evacuating camp with bosses fearing that she may quit, while TV presenter Louise Minchin suffers from Raynaud’s Syndrome, which causes her feet and hands to go numb when cold.
A source told the publication, “Bosses know this is a programme where there’s an expectation from the viewers that the celebs aren’t in a holiday camp.
"But equally they have a duty of care to them, particularly the older, more vulnerable contestants. Not everyone will choose to use a heater, but they are there if they are wanted.”
