Some Love Island stars just don’t get a fair ride in the villa, and we can’t help but feel that Keanan Brand got the short end of the stick when he joined the show.
He failed to spark a connection with Samie Elishi or Jessie Wynter on their dates and ended up in a friendship couple with Claudia Fogarty.
Then - just to really rub salt in the wound - the girl Keanan really fancied, Rosie Seabrook, coupled up with Claudia’s ex Casey O’Gorman.
Keanan and Claudia were sent packing from the villa when Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell Samuda chose them to go home, although Keanan is still convinced he could have bagged Rosie if he’d had more time.
After leaving the villa, Keanan threw some major shade Casey’s way as he admitted he wasn’t sure if his love rival was the right man for Rosie.
He said, “I genuinely think we could have built a better connection and might have ended up in a couple.”
He added, “I don’t think she knew what to make of it when I told her I liked her. My time was cut short but I’m confident that if I had another two weeks, more could’ve happened.”
As for his relationship with Claudia, Keanan said they’re going to stay strictly plantonic. He explained, “Claudia and I had the best chats but we both quickly realised we were just going to be good friends. It was nice to get on with someone on that level, she’s a great girl and she deserves the best.
“I think Casey was on her mind during the ‘Snog, Marry, Pie’ challenge so I thought I would give her a nice snog. We are very good mates now, we have a few nights out planned so I’m sure we will continue our friendship...”
