Where do we even start with all of the recent Love Island drama? After Joe Garratt was accused of being 'controlling' towards Lucie Donlan by domestic abuse charity Women's Aid, the 22-year-old was dumped from the villa on Tuesday night, alongside Essex girl Elma Pazar.
Now, after telling Lucie she should stay without him, Joe has spoken about his behaviour in the villa, admitting he's heartbroken that viewers accused him of being 'controlling'.
Speaking to The Sun, Joe said, “I didn’t manipulate or abuse her. I am gutted that it has been perceived in that way because it wasn’t like that at all.
“I always had Lucie’s best interests at heart and I promise you I would do everything and anything to help her because she had a hard time in there and didn’t get on with the girls. I was trying to help her and make her experience as amazing as possible. I thought I did right."
After being blasted by Love Island viewers when he told Lucie who she should be friends with in the villa, Joe revealed he doesn't think he needs to apologise, but he did admit he may have 'slipped up'.
He said, “I am not going to say sorry. I may have worded things wrong and the cameras are on you 24/7. I may have slipped up a bit but I am only human.
“I am young and inexperienced so maybe some things have come out differently to what they are. I just hope people can see me for who I genuinely am and what I genuinely am. I am not that person."

Love Island rules - STACKED RADIO
No getting drunk
According to 2017 contestant Kem Cetinay, contestants are allowed one small glass of wine or beer a night with dinner.Being drunk's an absolute no-no, so sex while intoxicated is obviously against the rules too.
No masturbating
No solo sex acts are allowed in the villa, though obviously allowed to get jiggy with their partner.
No nudity
Contestants cannot be naked in front of other islanders, since the villa is technically a public space.
No books, phones or magazines
The islanders are given snazzy phones from their sponsor, Samsung (what else would they get their texts on?); but anyone sneaking their own mobile phone into the villa would risk being removed.Same goes for books and magazines, too.
No inappropriate language or behaviour
This could cover homophobic, racist or aggressive language and is quite the broad rule. Inappropriate behaviour is again at producers' discretion, and would include violence and sexual harassment.
No discriminating against staff
Any Islanders who are rude to crew could run the risk of being booted off the show, and contestants must NOT take their mic packs off unless instructed to.
Follow the rule book
Simple. Contestants must obey the rule book they're provided with; which includes information on safe sex, consent and how to know if you're following the guidelines.
On last night's episode of Love Island, Lucie was thinking about leaving the villa following Joe's exit, but it looks like her fellow Islanders have convinced her to stay!
Meanwhile, after Yewande Biala started having doubts about Danny Williams, it was better news for Michael Griffiths and Amber Gill who enjoyed their very first date! The drama is set to continue on tonight's show when new bombshell Arabella Chi makes her shock exit.
