It’s fair to say that Love Island’s Faye Winter has divided opinion this series after a series of explosive confrontations with her fellow contestants. Although some viewers have praised her outspoken nature and hilarious one-liners, others have called for her to be removed from the villa after she broke Ofcom records for the most complained about Love Island moment EVER.

Now, one person who knows her very well has had their say after one fan branded the former lettings agent “scary”. Bit harsh…

Dumped Islander Matthew McNabb, who entered the main villa as one of six bombshell boys during Casa Amor, has spoken out on TikTok during a Q&A when one of his followers asked, “Is Faye as scary as she seems on TV?”

Setting the record straight, Matt replied, “Nah, not really.

“Honestly, she’s a nice person underneath it all. She’s just very fiery and you just have to know that.”

He added, “I don’t really scare if someone screams in my face. They’re not going to do anything.”

Matt didn’t stop the tea spilling there as he also revealed a behind-the-scenes villa secret that has left us shook.

It’s common knowledge that Islanders are limited to two drinks per night, but it’s not just the alcohol that’s limited. Oh no, it turns out that protein powder is rationed too.

Erm, how did we not know this before please?

When asked to name “some things we don’t see on the show” in a separate TikTok, the Northern Irish fitlord said, “I’ll give you a good one. So, in the toilets, there’s cameras and the other thing is your protein powder is rationed for you for the day.”

He’s not the only Islander who has let slip some insider information after being dumped from the villa as Hugo Hammond also recently revealed exactly how to make the infamous iced coffee they drink in the mornings – which, let’s face it, is the information we’ve all been dying to know.

According to Hugo, the recipe is as easy as mixing two teaspoons of instant coffee with one third of a glass of boiling water and some honey before adding a few handfuls of ice and topping it up with your favourite milk (his is soya, FYI).

It seems the key to the perfect Love Island iced coffee is the honey as the former PE teacher admitted the Islanders like it sweet and add “a lot” of the sugary stuff to their drinks.
