Love Island viewers are never afraid to voice their opinions on the show and they’ve been pretty vocal about the Islanders ever since the winter 2023 series started back in January.
The likes of Olivia Hawkins, Tanya Manhenga and Ron Hall have all come under fire from fans, but viewers think they’ve worked out who the REAL “villain” is now that the series has come to an end.
After Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan topped the votes and were crowned winners, fans took to social media to blast the harsh South African wind for causing trouble for the Islanders during the final.
One fan tweeted, “The main villain of this series has to be the SA wind... From day dot, the girls have had to battle with that b**ch.”
Another added, “The wind is killing me. I just know they're freezing and struggling,” while a third commented, “The real villain this year is the WIND.”
Anna-May Robey, who was dumped back on day nine, previously spoke out about the “horrendous” wind when she appeared on heat Dates alongside David Salako.
Anna-May said, “Oh my God, the first two nights we were there, it was horrific. I think we were in a storm, actually. We were all in little dresses, shivering, goosebumps, hair everywhere.”
“On the cameras we were probably all like this,” she added as she pulled her hair across her face.
“Crazy! You think you’d go on Love Island and it’s hot.”
We have to admit, we do feel sorry for the winter Islanders having to put up with the adverse weather conditions. We’d much rather be sunning ourselves in Spain in the summer.
