Dumped Islander lifts lid on ‘savage’ Casa Amor recoupling and we NEVER KNEW

THAT Casa Amor recoupling was even more "savage" in real life life and here's why...

If you're the kind of Love Island fan who watches recouplings behind your fingers, a pillow, or both (HOW are you managing Movie Night, btw?), we're not going to lie, this show tea might actually break you – in that it's truly heart-breaking. Here's the emoji to really hammer that home: 💔.

We have mixed feelings about how it all went down for this season's Casa Amor crew; in the way that we feel bad that SO many of them didn't get to live out their villa dream in South Africa, but at the same time LOVE that they're all back on their socials and spilling a ridiculous amount of tea. For example, if they'd transitioned into the main villa, we wouldn't know top-secret tea like how Layla actually got a brutal 'villain' edit. Piping.

One of the dumped Casa bombshells airing all some of the show's dirty laundry this week is Sammy James – poor thing didn't get much air time, but she did iconically lay it on Tom poolside within a matter of hours of meeting him and even got the 6ft5 hunk to mutter four or five words in response.

In the end, Tom chose to stick with the other Samie, Samie Elishi, leaving Casa Sammy packing.

Since then, as far as we can tell, Sammy's spent the vast majority of her time answering questions she probably shouldn't be answering on her Instagram story.

While discussing whether or not she was disappointed with the Casa outcome (spoiler alert: she wasn't), she did reveal something we had never even entertained before now; something that changes our view of THAT recoupling entirely; something that makes it ALL even more "savage" and cringe-worthy.

Take a breath: that recoupling was actually filmed on Valentine's Day.

Ouch.

it's easy to forget that villa life is approximately a day or two ahead of what we witness on our screens, and now we've done the maths it makes totally sense; so yeah, all those bombshells were sent packing on Valentine's Day, which is just not the one, is it?

Sammy revealed, "Fun fact, we were all dumped on Valentine's Day. I don't know what day it aired, but it was Valentine's Day when we got dumped."

It just makes it so much worse, doesn't it? Next they'll be telling us that winter Love Island Movie Night was actually filmed on Christmas Day.

Who is Sammy James?

Sammy James was one of winter Love Island 2023's Casa Amor bombshells. She entered Casa Amor on day 29 and left on day 32, after failing to form a strong connection.

What does Sammy James do for a living?

She is a beauty buyer in Dubai which just sounds glam af.

How old is Sammy James?

Sammy is 27 years old.

Where is Sammy James from and where does she live?

Sammy is from Leicester, but lives in Dubai.

Who did Sammy James connect with in Casa Amor?

Sammy had her eye on Casey and Tom, but nothing transpired for our girl – apart from a new girl squad. She said, "The girls were absolutely fabulous so I formed really special connections with all of them. It’s a shame I didn’t find a romantic connection there but the boys were so amazing, welcoming and lovely."

Speaking of her short-lived connection with Tom, she said, "It was very flirty at the start, which felt reciprocated, which is why I entertained those conversations. But then he moved onto Lydia. Aside from that, he was one of the most welcoming guys in the Villa and the nicest person too, so I’m really glad I met him."

Is Sammy Jones on Instagram and TikTok?

Obvs; she went on Love Island and lives in Dubai. You can follow her on Instagram at @sammymayjames and TikTok at @sammymayjames.
