Love Island 2023 aka winter Love Island or whatever it is we're calling it these days just hit us with one of the most chaotic Casa Amor recouplings in the history of chaotic recouplings.
Sadly some of our new bombshells were booted out of the villa in the most recent episode and will join the likes of fan fave Zara Lackenby-Brown and the icon that is Tanyel Revan as dumped Islanders.
Since leaving the villa, most of the contestants have been more than happy to share the juiciest of gossip and the latest to spill some tea is Tanyel.
During her appearance on heat Dates, Tanyel divulged the deets on what it was like to be coupled up with none other than Kai Fagan and it is not what we were expecting.
The hairstylist and science teacher (why does that sound like the start of a terrible joke?) were coupled up on two separate occasions before they realised that they weren’t particularly compatible.
Tanyel explained, “Kai is lovely, and, in the end, we were so cool but honestly I just feel like we’re such different people.”
A rather vague statement from the usually upfront Tanyel we required just a tad more info on the matter.
She continued, “Sometimes he would tell me stuff and I would be like ‘what are you talking about?’”
Tanyel admitted that her and Kai were simply not on the same page as she revealed, “Once he told me you can buy a star. That’s not true, is it?”
It is true. Kai should know, he is a teacher after all.
There have been hints here and there that Kai is a little bit of a loveable weirdo, who remembers when he woke up and started telling the guys that he had a dream about dragons? Or was it dinosaurs?
Either way, Kai may be perceived as a bit of a charmer but we have a sneaky suspicion the Northern lad has a geeky streak and it’s shame that wasn’t shown more to the public because there is no denying that the viewers would love to see it.
In the most recent recoupling - look away if you haven't watched the Casa Amor drama please - Kai decided to couple up with bombshell Sanam Harrinanan rather than stick and stay loyal to Olivia Hawkins who he was previously in a couple with.
Twitter was brimming with support for Kai and Sanam and it looks as though he could have found his way to the final with the social worker.
Memes, tweets and general hilarious thoughts on the new pairings filled the Twittersphere and people seem to be shocked at how much they are finding themselves loving the new playful duo.
"Why are Kai and Sanam the couple I'm rooting for most now... they're cute I can't even lie...#loveisland," wrote one viewer, as another tweeted, "KAI COUPLED WITH SANAM?????? WAIT THEY LOOK GOOD."
Perhaps Kai will buy a star for Sanam...
Tanyel did also mention that Kai "said something about the moon..."
With this in mind we cannot wait for Professor Kai and his astronomy class.
