Love Island fans were left devastated last week when Tanyel Revan was dumped from the villa during a brutal recoupling.
It’s fair to say Tanyel was unlucky in love on the show after failing to find a spark with any of the boys in the villa, but it seems things could be looking up for her on the outside world.
Viewers will remember that Tanyel had just begun getting to know late entrant Spencer Wilks when he was chosen to leave the island alongside Aaron Waters and now Spencer has already slid into Tanyel’s DMs just days after she returned to the UK.
Tanyel was talking about Spencer during a recent appearance on Aftersun as she said, “Never say never, but I am a big believer in whatever is meant to be will be. Obviously if it was meant to have happened I feel like it would’ve happened at the time. But obviously you never know.”
Host Maya Jama then interjected, “He did say he was going to slide into your DMs,” to which Tanyel made the revelation, “He has!”
The audience immediately began cheering, but Tanyel admitted the messages were more “friendly” than romantic.
She added, “It was more like ‘Hope you’re ok’ and I’ve had quite a few DMs now, and it was more like ‘How are you?’”
Although Tanyel played down the DMs from Spencer, fans went wild on Twitter as they shared their hopes of a romance between the two.
“Tanyel and Spencer would actually make such a cute couple,” wrote one.
Another added, “Spencer slid into Tanyel’s DMs… ALREADY?!?! Love that for her.”
A third tweeted, “Ohhh Spencer already slid in Tanyel DMs 👀 Let’s see what that brings,” while one more said, “Can we get Tanyel and Spencer back please?”
