You don't get much more cutesy and wholesome than Love Island series 9's Jessie Wynter and Will Young, do you? Okay, maybe Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, but they won the damn thing, so let's informally crown Jessie and Will our latest Miss Congeniality couple, yeah?
If you've been following their recent antics on social media, you'll already know that their actions post-dumping have been very that. The couple has only been on the outside for a few days and already they've been out and about capturing cute af content in and around London and on Will's farm (the matching his and hers farmers outfits, though *chef's kiss*).
But as those of us scarred/blessed by a long term relationship already know, the key to maintaining any good relationship is keeping that romance alive and thriving with some truly wholesome af experiences – like going to Tesco together in the middle of the night à la two highly-caffeinated and perpetually drunk uni students.
We know; the cuteness.
Jessie recently posted a TikTok of Will taking her to Tesco for the first time EVER (while she's here with him in the UK) and, during a quick catch up with heat for our YouTube series heat dates (dropping soon), Harriet Rose got straight to the hard-hitting question we all needed the answer to, "How was your [first] Tesco experience?"
Jessie responded (with utter elation in her voice btw), "Yes! We drove past it and he (Will, obvs) kept mentioning Tesco and I was like, 'What are you talking about?' We don't have that in Australia, so he was like, 'Right, we're going right now.' OMG, there were so many candles, and all the UK chocolates and everything."
Slap that on your next Christmas ad, Tesco.
She added, "I'll be honest, I'm a cheap date – not hard to please here."
The pair then eventually confirmed that late-night shopping trip was their first date on British soil which, let's be honest, is more British than Adele and Harry Styles playing cricket on a rainy bank holiday. And if they're secretly after a Tesco sponsorship deal – well played, kids.
Will and Jessie – aka the Woody and, err, Jessie of Love Island – met on day seven of winter Love Island 2023, when Jessie entered the villa alongside Aaron Waters as two surprise bombshells from down under. The pair quickly hit it off and left the villa just short of the final (in fifth place) on day 56.
