Invest in a thick moisturiser

Thanks to the colder temperatures and heating whacked on high, it can leave your skin feeling v. dry. We recommend Weleda Skin Food which is not only loved by Victoria Beckham but is super nourishing for dry skin. You can use it on your face, elbows, hands and knees. A true staple.

Discover retinol

Thanks to various lockdown restrictions, working from home and the fact it is suddenly cold AF, we are indoors more than ever. Minimal sunshine is great news when dipping your toes into the world of retinol. It's the name for vitamin A and it's great for treating premature ageing, acne and uneven skin tone. We love this serum from Amazon which has been formulated with vitamin e to ensure minimal irritation. Make sure you use it as part of your nighttime routine and follow up with sun protection the next day, as your skin will be more sensitive.

Add a healthy glow

Now that our chance of getting a real tan has gone, a face tanner is the next best thing. We love this tanning serum from St Moriz which give the most natural glow. Simply add a few drops to your favourite moisturiser (and wash your hands immediately after!) It's such a bargain, too.

Say goodbye to sun damaged skin

As we bid farewell to the warmer weather your suntan can fade to reveal dry, dull and sun damaged skin. We love the Silk'n FaceTite (which currently has a mahoosive 45% off) which uses a combination of Bi-Polar RF energy, Red LED light and IR heat energy to revitalise collagen and elastin fibres in the skin whilst reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Visible results can be seen in just five weeks.

Help prevent breakouts and 'maskne'

An increase in breakouts is normal as the seasons start to change, but with the added addition of face masks this autumn we need to give our skin even more TLC than usual. Use a clay mask once a week, such as the Ameera London Moroccan Ghassoul Lava Clay Mask . This world-renowned cleansing mask removes dead skin cells, counteracts toxins beneath your skin, tightens your pores and stimulates elasticity, delivering luminous results.

Don't forget SPF

Okay, this isn't a change as you SHOULD be wearing SPF every single day without fail. But remember that just because it's cold and grey, doesn't mean you should forego sun protection. We are huge fans of the Garnier Ambre Solaire Face Mist in SPF50 as it's so easy to apply and doesn't leave your skin greasy or shudders chalky. You can even mist it on over make-up. Genius, eh.
