I don't know about you, but lockdown has not only gotten me missing my pals and fancy coffee, my skin is suffering too.
Ever since we all started to mass exodus to working from home, the skin on my face, arms and legs has been SO DRY.
Is it my heating? Is it the lack of sunlight? Am I deficient in some sort of vitamin? Is dry skin a symptom of a lack of social contact?
My internet history was solely focused on the state of my skin until I found my holy grail product on a trip to Superdrug to stock up on hay fever medication.
The Superdrug Vitamin E Intensive All Over Body Cream comes in a fairly industrial sized pot, and the promise of vitamin-boosted moisturiser had my name written all over it.
WHERE TO BUY: Superdrug Vitamin E All Over Body Cream
Vitamin E Intensive All Over Body Cream 475ml
I've had some success with Vitamin E based products in the past, I love The Body Shop Vitamin E skincare range, so I thought I'd give this one a go.
And reader, I was not disappointed. The formula is thick and moisturising but not oily and sinks in quicker than your average heavy-duty moisturiser.
I use it all over my body and even on my face, because I don't always have time for a seven-step skincare regime. Your girl's got a Netflix series to binge, she's busy, OK?
This pot of greatness also includes vitamins A, B, F and H, which combined with horse chestnut extract makes for the perfect remedy for dry skin.
Vitamin E is particularly good for your skin because it helps with restoration of skin cells and is an antioxidant.
Now for the sciencey bit - vitamin E actually fights of "free radicals" on your skin, which are basically the result of pollution or sun exposure on the skin. So it's all good stuff.
I could go on for eons praising the benefits of vitamin E and this little pot of goodness, but some people can be allergic to vitamin e so make sure you do a test before slathering yourself in it post-bath.

It's not just me who loves this super cheap, vitamin charged moisturiser. Reviews have been pretty good too, with comments like: "we have never looked back...it is amazing and smells lush too!"
And "I have exceedingly dry skin and eczema so have to use cream morning and evening or my skin cracks. Over the years I have had loads of different emollients many of which are either sticky or hard to apply but this one is great."
As always, if you have eczema it's best to use what works for you and seek medical advice if you need it, but for anyone suffering from general dry skin at the mo this could be a God send.
