YouTuber duo Syd and Ell may have split in 2021 but it's a new year and they've both launched their own YouTube channels.
Syd (real name Sydney May Crouch) created her own channel last year and while she's only briefly hinted about the fallout she had with former BFF Ell (aka Ellie Jarrett), she's been busy posting vlogs and hauls on her solo channel.
Now the 24-year-old influencer has filmed her own documentary about her losing her mum at just nine years old.
In part one of her documentary Drugs Came First, the YouTuber was joined by her family and her mum's friends where they discussed Syd's mum's life and when she started taking drugs.
Hundreds of Syd's followers rushed to praise her for bringing awareness to the topic with one person writing, "You’re so brave and strong for doing this Syd, all of your family are! Proud of you always <3".
Another person commented, "Must’ve been so raw for you, so proud that you are raising awareness. Your Mum, your Nan and your family will be so incredibly proud of you ❤️".

"But I do know that her body couldn't handle it and she went into cardiac arrest. She went into hospital and was in a coma for about a week."
