'This reminds me of being in the Love Island villa'

It's been just over 24 hours since the second series of Big Brother launched on ITV and 16 new housemates immediately became our latest TV obsessions.

While it's been an eventful first few hours inside the Big Brother 2024 house – what with more than half the housemates stripped of their housemate status and chucked into 'storage' – we have a feeling Big Brother's trickery has only just begun and, no doubt, secret missions, trialling tasks and even familiar faces are all tucked neatly up the TV overlords' sleeves in preparation for the coming weeks.

Speaking of which, what if we told you that a Love Island 2023 star has already entered the house?

It wouldn't be the biggest shock in the world, given what ITV producers pulled by throwing Joey Essex into the Love Island 2024 villa on day two earlier this summer (and given that they have already sent him into the Big Brother 2024 house with Selling Sunset star Chelsea Lazkani to help publicise the new series). So much for being done with reality telly, eh, Joey?

Anyway, another Love Island star has indeed already entered the new Big Brother house, sat in the Diary Room, and of course, sussed out the lighting – and it's yet another ITV comeback kid... Molly Marsh.

Yep, just when you thought the house alrwady had enough excitable blonde energy locked within its walls courtesy of 20-year-old Chinese takeaway server, Lily Benson (we can't help but wonder how Lady Gaga feels about her Bad Romance rendition), ITV producers chuck in TikToker and Love Island finalist, Molly.

But, no, Molly's not a housemate - in fact, she was sent into the house ahead of the launch for a cheeky first-look, and the cute video of her visit has just dropped on her socials.

We had you there for a minute, didn't we? Sorry. Although, let's be fair, there's still plenty of time for Big Brother producers to throw an ITV fave or two into the house just for sh*ts and giggles. All bets are off after Joey...

Okay, that was misleading of us, but to be fair, we weren't fibbing about barely recognising our Molly – we knew the blonde queen had recently turned to the brunette side of the force, but in her new Big Brother house vid, she's sporting some seriously lengthy autumnal locks and while she looks totally different to her Love Island days, this seasonal vibe is an absolute slay.

In the video, Molly embarks on a full tour of the new house, exploring every inch of the gaff including the bedroom, living room and Diary Room. She opens the video by saying, 'Guys, I'm back here at the Big Brother house, and I'm going to give you a little tour again. Shall we head on in?'

FYI, Molly took a similar tour ahead of this year's Celebrity Big Brother launch. She also auditioned for last year's Big Brother before Love Island, double FYI.

During her latest tour, she wanders into the bathroom and immediately spots a similarity with the Love Island villa – the frosted glass showers. Molly told fans, 'Showers, now this reminds me of the Love Island villa. You just feel like you can see through. I mean I know you can't, but when you're in there, I'm telling you think people can see you.'

In other Molly news, the Love Island and musical theatre queen is set to release new music this week, taking to Instagram to confirm her exciting news.

She wrote, 'The secrets out, I’ve been flying back and forth into the studio & can’t wait for you to hear my new music.. dropping this week🤍🎧… yes, yes we do have a jelly cat in the studio.'
