Since we’ve had over ten seasons of Love Island, it can be easy to forget the early days. Not us, of course, if you work at heat it’s a requirement that you have an unhealthy obsession with arguably the best reality show ever made, but for casual viewers we appreciate it can be tricky.

While All Stars let us catch up on what a few OGs like Hannah Elizabeth and Josh Ritchie have been up to, there were some noticeably absent from the series. If we cold have every single Islander come back for a second stint, we would. Maybe even a third time for Adam Collard, because why not?

However, while we call these the OG Islanders, real fans will know that Love Island 2015 was in fact a reboot. The first series of Love Island, also called Celebrity Love Island, aired back in 2005, with the second series airing in 2006. This series was where we first met Bianca Gascoigne, who went on to win the series alongside Calum Best.

Bianca was a glamour model and a bit of a nepo baby; she’s the daughter of TV personality Sheryl Gascoigne and former footballer Paul ‘Gazza’ Gascoigne. Since Love Island, she’s continued to be a TV personality and model, and even placed runner-up in the final of Dancing With The Stars in Italy. However, despite the fame, she doesn't see herself stepping back into the villa any time soon.

heat recently caught up with Bianca and it turns out that her life looks very different now than it did back in 2006 when she was crowned the winner of Love Island. She’s now a mum, and her priorities have shifted away from rubbing shoulders with other celebs.

She told heat, “I want to spend as much time with [my daughter] as possible before she starts school. I’ve got a small inner circle of friends now – I don’t hang out with loads of celebs. As much as I’m an extrovert, I’m also an introvert so I tend to keep myself to myself. I don’t speak to a lot of people!”

Although when Islanders first come out of the villa they are insaprable and can’t seem to go to a single party without a fellow Islander, maybe after a while that fades. While we hope these Islanders continue to make club appearances well into middle age, we’ll understand if some Islanders follow Bianca’s lead.

While it’s unlikely we’ll see Bianca on a series of All Stars any time soon, we’ve got to show respect for the real OG Love Island legends.

Closer spoke to Bianca at a family screening event of the supersized Bluey episode The Sign at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square which landed on Sunday, 14th April.
