When the winners of last year's Love Island announced they'd split a grand total of two seconds after they'd won Love Island 2023 nobody was THAT surprised. Sorry about it.
Well, nobody besides Sammy Root, that is, who was part of said winning couple.
During a chat with former TOWIE star Pete Wicks and Made in Chelsea's Sam Thompson on their Staying Relevant podcast, Sammy admitted that the break up was totally "out of the blue" and that he found out him and Jess Harding were no longer an item via the news. Was it us? Are we the problem?
Let's face it, communication was never their strong suit, was it?
Anyway, it turns out that Jess has officially moved on from curly-haired ex as she revealed on Instagram back in March that she is no longer a single girlie.
During a social media Q&A, which is practically a reality TV star's version of an Oprah Winfrey interview, one fan asked Jess outright, "Are you single?"
To which the OG Islander replied, "No ❤️."
And that was literally all she said.
After some social media stalking and sleuthing a few weeks back we did manage to come across a snap of Jess and some thick-eyebrowed fella who was featured on her Instagram story for a fleeting moment – as in blink and you'll miss him.
Of course, we knew he was going to be a handsome guy, but is it just us or does he look like some sort of Love Island lad hybrid?
It's almost as if the world plucked the features from a few different Love Island boys to create the ultimate male Islander.
Sammy Root's eyebrows and dark locks, Mitch Taylor's jawline, Keanan Brand's eyes and a dash of Andrew Le Page's overall hotness.
Fast forward a couple of months to the here and now and we have another snap of Jess's new man kissing her – well, we're assuming it's her boyf – while she gives major Sharpay Evans energy.
While we can't see his face fully, we're still getting those Andrew Le Page vibes – well, not the neck tattoo; squeaky-clean Andrew would never. He's also giving every Casa Amor bombshell ever, right? No? Just us?
Jess is yet to go Instagram official with her new bae but seeing as she has confirmed she is no longer single we expect a grid post and hard launch any day now. SURELY?
We're betting it'll feature some sort of short but soppy caption and a kissing pic – perhaps a subtle black and white hand holding snap.
