Love Island, despite only being an hour of TV every night they manage to fit so much drama and chaos into a single 60-minute slot that it sometimes leaves us reeling until the next episode. However, they cut 23 hours of footage, meaning some characters get left by the wayside.
We’re not just talking about those anonymous Casa Amor Islanders either, sometimes even the OG Islanders can fly under the radar until one big dramatic moment. This might just be the case for Love Island 2024's sweet salesman, Sean Stone.
At the start of the series, Sean was lauded for being one of the sweetest - pun intended - Islanders, but suddenly he seems intent on stirring up some drama.
Has he been like this the entire time and cameras have been missing it? We sat down with recently dumped Islander Konnor Ewudzi to find out the truth. Konnor was dumped from the Island alongside Lolly Hart after a brutal public vote deemed them the least compatible.
It turns out Sean’s recent sassiness may have something to do with a certain reality star. Konnor said, “As time’s gone by, Sean is like Joey [Essex]’s little protégé. He agrees with Joey even when he’s in the wrong.”
“Sean started off kind of similar to me, finding it hard to connect with someone in that sort of way… but maybe I feel like he’s got this kind of confidence now where, I don’t know, he’s coming out of himself a bit so maybe that’s why he’s causing a bit of drama.”
Sean has been riling up his fellow Islanders for a couple of weeks now, but his latest stint had the villa up in arms. At the talent show, Sean did a roast while doling out sweets to his Islanders. Could someone tell the Islanders that the roasts never turn out well? Ask Mitch Taylor and Faye Winter, literally any other talent would be better received.
On that fateful night, Sean presented Josh Sunday Oyinsan with a ‘sour dummy’, explaining, "You've got to be a bit of a dummy thinking Mimii [Ngulube] was just taking Ayo [Odukoya] for a chat on the terrace."
Shockingly, this act didn’t win the talent show, but it did cause quite a bit of backlash from his fellow Islanders and the viewers at home.
Only time will tell if Sean's not-so-sweet behaviour has caused too much damage for him and Matilda Draper to take home that £50k prize.
