The current Love Island cast may be All Stars themselves, but they also have some seriously high-profile connections.
Just take Sophie Piper, who rose to fame on Love Island 2020, for example. Her sister is none other than S Club Juniors and The Saturdays singer turned This Morning presenter Rochelle Humes.
We’d be screaming about it from the rooftops if we were related to one of the most recognisable faces on telly, but it appears Sophie is keen to keep it on the down low as we didn’t see her talking about Rochelle on her original series and she hasn’t mentioned her on All Stars either.
However, it turns out she actually did tell the other Islanders about her lookalike sister back in 2020 but the scenes weren’t aired for some reason.
Sophie and fellow 2020 Islander Leanne Amaning revealed it was common knowledge in the villa during their appearance on heat’s Under the Duvet with VOXI - which coincidentally also featured future All Star Joe Garratt - when they were sent packing from Cape Town four years ago.
“We spoke about it. They just didn’t air it,” said Sophie.
Not fair, producers. We wanted all the tea about the Humes-Piper family.
Back in 2020, Rochelle spoke out about Sophie joining Love Island when it was first revealed that she was appearing on the ITV2 show.
After Sophie's account uploaded an official picture of her Love Island promo shot, with the caption, "YOU GUESSED IT! Our girl Soph is heading to Cape Town for Winter @loveIsland ☀️ We are all so excited! Who’s going to be watching on Sunday and joining Team Soph!?", Rochelle quickly sent her support.
She wrote, "Good luck baby sis. Bring us back a keeper."
Sophie may not have found a keeper her first time around after her romance with Connor Durman fizzled out, but her villa relationship with Joshua Ritchie is looking a lot more promising.
