Okay, first things first; after that intense AF Love Island dumping and exit, we'll start by asking you Holly Willoughby style, "Are you okay? I hope so."

*Love Island spoilers ahead, obv*

Last night, Love Island 2024 took the drama up a notch at a shock dumping which left Samantha Kenny single and, well, dumped. What followed was one of the most iconic Love Island exits of all time, with Samantha telling both her villa ex, Joey Essex, and his new bombshell bae, Grace Jackson, to, err, do one.

Forget fake hugs, kisses and well wishes (we can't decide whether Samantha would make either the best or worst PR), our Samantha kept it real, leaving Joey holding his head at the fire pit looking like an extra in a festive East 17 music video (Google it, Gen Zs).

In short, Samantha and Joey had been coupled up for the first two weeks in the villa (a coupling which sent Sam Taylor home to our absolute dismay, we might add); while the couple took things slow physically and intimately, a connection was clearly starting to grow.

Cue Joey's ex Grace entering the villas as the bombshell of all bombshells and within a matter of hours, Joey is necking on with Grace here there and everywhere and, erm, not taking things slow. The head-turn left Samantha distraught and tensions frosty between the Liverpudlian fan fave and the new couple.

Naturally, Samantha was left single at the next recoupling and while preparing to leave the villa, she told an apologetic Grace, "No offence, babe, but I don't want to hear it." She then told a stunned and uncharacteristically bashful Joey, "Save it, mate."

As cringy as it was – and we're doing our best to remain as neutral as possible here (journalism is HARD) – it was pretty iconic on Samantha's part.

Shortly after leaving the villa, a freshly-scorned Samantha was quizzed by Love Island producers about her short-ish time in the villa, asking her if she wished she'd explored connections with any of the other boys – and her answer was eye-opening. It also left us asking, WHY, SAMANTHA?

Lest we forget, Samantha always said she was looking for a cheeky cockney boy on Love Island, so surprise, surprise she revealed that she regrets not exploring things with Ronnie Vint, who is currently coupled up with new bombshell, Tiffany Leighton.

When asked if there were any other boys she wished she'd gotten to know better, Samantha told producers, "Definitely Ronnie. Ronnie’s more my type than Joey was, but I feel like Ronnie didn’t pursue anything with me because he didn’t want to go up against Joey."

Tea.

We're probably preaching to the choir here, but just in case, Reddit, Love Island producers... thoughts on a Molly Marsh-style Casa Amor return? Give first dumpee Sam a second chance, too, there's simply not enough body hair in that villa for our liking.

Love Island returns at 9pm tomorrow on ITV2 and ITVX.
