If you’ve been watching the latest series of Made in Chelsea – and if you haven’t, you’ve seriously been missing out – then you’ll know that there’s been a bit of a cast shake-up. Olivia Bentley may have taken “a step back” from the show, but she’s been replaced by a whopping five new faces.
Not only has Jazz Saunders’ bestie Julia Pollard (aka Muffin) and Harvey Armstrong’s girlfriend Zeyno Taylan joined the show alongside Sam Vanderpump and Tina Stinnes, but long-running cast member James Taylor’s brother Jack has made his MIC debut too.
Although fans have seen James’ relationship with his now-wife Maeva D’Ascanio play out on the show over the years, Jack has been there behind-the-scenes of their turbulent storylines and the younger Taylor brother recently admitted that the dramatic scenes have, at times, been difficult to watch.
Jack recently joined fellow newbies Julia and Sam at heat Towers for an exclusive interview, where he opened up about James and Maeva’s rollercoaster romance.
“They do have quite a fiery relationship,” he told us, in what is a serious contender for understatement of the century.
Jack continued, “I know when the whole thing came out of – James is going to love this – when he kissed a girl and that came out on the show.
“That was quite a hard thing to watch because I remember Maeva calling me almost in tears, asking for, you know, what to do. So that was, I’d say, the hardest [to watch].”
There has, however, been plenty of highs to go with the lows and Jack added, “But then, you know, there’s obviously the highs with the wedding.
“I could do without hearing about their sex life, but I guess that’s part of the job isn’t it?”
As for his own love life, Jack admitted that dating is “on the backburner” for him while he finishes university and that he’s been the “advice giver” this series.
But it is Made in Chelsea, so we can probably expect him to be caught up in some love drama of his own in the not too distant future…
