In the grand scheme of things we all knew that the romance between Made in Chelsea's resident troublemaker, Sam Prince and Yasmine Zweegers wasn't end game.

The duo's controversial love affair didn't exactly start off in the best circumstances as Sam had literally JUST split from Inga Valentiner before he snogged Yas, who was supposed to be sharing holiday fling with Tristan Phipps.

Not only that, but Sam was constantly having to deny he had cheated on Yas and even stormed off set during filming – all of which was aired on an episode of Made in Chelsea – after the cast accused him of being unfaithful.

Long story short, the romance didn't survive and they called time on their relationship last year.

Neither of them have opened up about what happened or how it all came crashing down - cue Liv Bentley and her Private Parts podcast.

'I went through a breakup,' Sam confessed when quizzed why he barely appeared in the most recent series of the reality TV show, 'I’ve been working on my brand a lot, it was a big break up.'

'I took six months out [from Made in Chelsea] to focus on my relationship,' he joked and we assume he's joking because it's Sam Prince and he hasn't had a serious conversation since, well, ever.

'No, to focus on my business,' he corrected.

Neither Yas nor Sam were in the last season of Made in Chelsea, but Sam has already revealed he will back for the new series after sharing pics on his Instagram of the cast trip to the Maldives.

As for Yasmine, she is still living life up in London, but she did hint at a return to Kings Road after telling fans she wouldn't be gone 'forever'.

'We spent every day together, I have a lot to do and she has a lot to do,' he confessed when Liv and her co-host Tom Lucy asked why the relationship came to an end.

Sam continued, 'We’re at that stage where we both need to be by ourselves, self-improvement.'

The good news is that it seems to have ended amicably, from Sam's end at least, as he only had kind things to say about his ex.

'You know Yasmine,' he explained, '[she's] a sweetheart, the best.'

We can't help but wonder if Yas has the same thoughts on Sam.
