Whether it’s the UK series or the Aussie version, there’s no denying that Married At First Sight is jam-packed full of drama. In fact, there’s sometimes so much drama that the producers aren’t able to squeeze it all into the final edit.
We’ve lost count of the amount of times a MAFS Australia bride or groom has claimed certain scenes were edited out and earlier this year, MAFS UK’s Georges Berthonneau revealed why his scenes with Peggy Rose were edited out of the reunion.
Now, another former MAFS UK groom has spilled the tea on dramatic scenes that were left on the cutting room floor and we’ve got the exclusive goss.
Speaking to heat at Magic Radio’s Big Karaoke Party in aid of Cash For Kids, Adrian Sanderson – who appeared on Married At First Sight back in 2021 – told us that he was involved was an explosive fight that didn’t make it on to our screens.
“There was one very particular bit that didn’t get aired, which was a row with me and another contestant and people were not happy that it got cut off halfway,” Adrian said.
“I’m still not saying,” he added, referring to the identity of the co-star he clashed with.
Adrian also teased, “I wouldn’t mind if it was all aired. He might.”
Ooh, the shade.
Although he didn't reveal the identity of his sparring partner, Adrian previously clashed with fellow groom George Roberts in scenes which left George's on-screen wife April Banbury in tears.
Given all the drama he was involved in, it's no surprise that Adrian had a bit of a warning for any singletons hoping to appear on the show in the future.
Sharing some words of wisdom for potential applicants, he said, “If you were going on MAFS, I would say be ready for a wild rollercoaster.
“It’s a lot bigger and scarier than it looks on telly.”
Adrian spoke exclusively to heat at Magic Radio’s Big Karaoke Party on Cash For Kids Day – and it’s not too late to donate.
