Since they were given the boot from the villa in a brutal Love Island recoupling last week, this year’s Casa Amor bombshells have really been spilling the tea on what viewers didn’t get to see. They’re the gift that keeps on giving and we love them for it.
Cynthia Otseh-Taiwo, in particular, has had a lot to say after Casey O’Gorman surprised us all and chose to stay loyal to Claudia Fogarty despite getting to know Cynthia VERY well in Casa Amor. Seriously, she straddled him and everything.
Cynthia previously revealed she’s probably not going to stay in contact with Casey after the show (we don’t blame her, tbh) and now she’s lifted the lid on his fire pit apology. Actually, calling it an apology is a bit of a stretch but he did mouth the words "I’m sorry" before Cynthia left the villa.
Chatting to Harriet Rose on heat Dates, which she appeared on alongside her Casa mate Layla Al-Momani, Cynthia said, “Let me explain the ‘I’m sorry’ really quickly. The ‘I’m sorry’ came after everyone had recoupled. It didn’t come straight away.
“Everyone had recoupled at this point and then he said ‘I’m sorry’ and I said ‘don’t worry about it’. Do you really think I’d say ‘don’t worry about it’ straight after? There’s no way.”
She continued, “It came after everyone had recoupled. I think we were still waiting for Will [Young] at this point and that’s when he said it.”
When asked if she thought Casey’s apology was real, Cynthia admitted, “He didn’t look at me the whole time.”
Her pal Layla, however, said, “I think that’s the most real he’s been the whole time.”
“It might have been ‘I’m sorry I didn’t pick you’. Who knows?,” Cynthia added.
Who knows, indeed. But one thing we’re sure of is that this year’s Love Island reunion is going to be a must watch. Popcorn at the ready.
