There’s nothing we love more than when two Love Island stars recouple outside the villa.
Whether it’s two Islanders who were on the same series but never quite got the chance to couple up, like Zara Lackenby-Brown and Jordan Odofin, or contestants from different seasons who found love with each other à la Lucie Donlan and Luke Mabbott, we simply love to see it.
However, we were left gobsmacked over the weekend when rumours began swirling that Love Island 2022 icon Danica Taylor is dating 2021 finalist Tyler Cruickshank. We never imagined these two crossing paths, but we have to say they would make a gorgeous couple.
Danica was notoriously unlucky in love during her time on the ITV2 dating show, coupling up with no less than SIX boys throughout the series. However, it seems things are looking up for her on the outside world as fans are convinced she’s romantically involved with Tyler.
Tyler, who split from Kaz Kamwi just three months after they finished in fourth place in the Love Island 2021 final, sent the rumour mill into overdrive when he shared a teasing picture of a mystery woman wearing an outfit very similar to one Danica was spotted wearing later that night.
Although Tyler was quick to remove the picture from his Snapchat when his followers started putting two and two together, and it was quickly shared on Instagram blog The Shade Borough.
Fans immediately began sharing their thoughts on the potential new couple online, with many declaring their alleged relationship a “plot twist”.
“Danica and Tyler??? I hear it,” wrote one.
Another added, “Danica and Tyler dating is the biggest plot twist in the Love Island universe,” while a third remarked, “Tyler and Danica make sense sorry. Lmaoo like they both take things quite literally I can see how they would get along. That height difference is criminal though.”
