Love is Blind UK is finally back on our screens after a year-long wait for series two and, frankly, we’re thrilled.
We’ve been loving the first four episodes; getting to know the new singletons and watching their relationships blossom (or crash and burn in some cases) in the pods.
One of the cast members we’ve been introduced to on the show is Yolanda, a 26-year-old specialist occupational therapist from Hampshire, and it turns out she’s no stranger to the world of reality TV dating shows.
Yolanda has a secret link to a Love Island winner and you might have even see her on TV before…
Yep, Yolanda has a famous cousin in the form of Love Island 2024 winner Mimii Tafara, who made history last year as one half of the first ever Black couple to win the ITV2 show alongside Josh Oyinsan.
Yolanda even appeared on spin-off show Aftersun for a chinwag with Maya Jama to talk about her cousin while she was still in the villa.
Not only that, but Yolanda went on to star in a Christmas gift swap video with Mimii on the official Boots YouTube channel.
The Love is Blind UK cast member is also pals with the likes of Uma Jammeh, Jess White and Tanya Mahenga, so she’s got some serious credentials in the reality TV world.
Speaking about appearing on Love is Blind UK on Instagram, Yolanda said, ‘From 50 First Dates to Love Is Blind UK, I really took my dating life to Netflix.
‘As the youngest in the experiment, I stepped into the pods with an open heart and no clue what was coming…’
She also told producers, ‘I have a big personality, I need someone spontaneous and adventurous.’
Mimii supported her cousin in the comments section, writing, ‘Can’t wait!!!! 😍😍😍,’ while winter Love Island 2023’s Tanya left three heart emojis.
