Speaking to The Sun, the telly insider went on to say "Cornwall has been optioned, as well as Torquay, the Isles of Scilly and even Barry Island, where Gavin and Stacey was filmed."

Just sayin', we would LOVE to see a load of bikini-clad singles chatting each other up outside Marco's...

The source explained that ITV don't want to incur backlash if the Islanders leave the country amid travel restrictions.

"Of course, there are obvious weather restrictions with a UK location — and viewers will see a lot less skin."

The source added that the potential UK filming location will ensure that the show gets to go ahead in 2021.

"Love Island is a huge franchise for the channel," they said, "As well as bringing in loads of much-needed younger viewers it’s a cash cow."

Recently, Love Island narrator Iain Stirling teased the idea of a UK series, telling Metro that the I'm A Celeb UK series was "so brilliant."

Explaining his vision for the upcoming series, dad-to-be Iain said, "It could be quite amusing seeing Love Island contestants embracing the beaches of Bognor Regis at some point.

"When they can’t eat their dinner because seagulls are taking it off the plate… it could mix it up."

Well, we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for the official location reveal soon...
