Despite the slow start, the 2019 series of Love Island is turning out to be one of the most dramatic we've ever witnessed! Whether it was the early drama between Joe Garratt and Lucie Donlan, the love triangle between Yewande Biala, Arabella Chi and Danny Williams, or most recently Michael Griffiths dumping Amber Gill for new girl Joanna Chimonides, it's kicking off.
So, after last night's (Wednesday 3rd July) show, a number of viewers took to social media to accuse Michael of 'gaslighting' Amber, following the way he handled the situation.
If you are unaware of the term 'gaslighting', it means, 'to manipulate (someone) by psychological means into doubting their own sanity.'
As Amber stayed relatively calm (despite calling Joanna a dead ting), Michael called his ex 'pathetic' and 'a child' following their heated conversation, which Anna Vakili also got involved in.
When Anna told the firefighter he was twisting the truth about his decision to make himself feel better, Love Island viewers seemed to agree with her, taking to Twitter to vent their frustrations.
Meanwhile, at the end of last night's show, Amber and Michael's new love interest Joanna were sent out on a lunch date in order to get to know each other, but fans have to wait until tonight's episode to see what goes down.
