We’re just over a week into the latest series of Love Island and there’s already been drama aplenty. First there was Shannon Singh’s shock dumping after just 48 hours, then Faye Winter dropped the c-bomb on Brad McLelland during a brutal bust-up, and that was all before bombshell Rachel Finni strutted into the villa and had to choose between Brad and Chuggs Wallis.
But this is Love Island we’re talking about after all, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to end there as a preview for tonight’s episode shown at the end of last night’s instalment showed Hugo Hammond breaking down in tears after accidentally sparking a row with Sharon Gaffka.
Of course, we’re going to have to wait until tonight to find out exactly what went down but it appears that Sharon didn’t take kindly to something that Hugo said. We’re absolutely dying to know exactly what the 24-year-old PE teacher said, so we’ve done some digging and here’s everything we know so far.
What did Hugo say on Love Island last night?
In a spoiler clip for tonight’s episode of Love Island, narrator Iain Stirling teases that “careless words cause chaos” as Hugo is seen looking worried.
Although exactly what Hugo said is being kept under wraps until the episode, he is then seen insisting, “I didn't mean anything malicious, did I!?”
It appears Hugo’s comments were aimed at Sharon as the pair sit down for a chat on the day beds and he asks, “How can I make this up to you? I want to know."
She replies, “There's not a lot you can do, is there really?”

After Amy Hart left the villa due to getting her heart broken by Curtis, Irish beauty Maura wasted no time in expressing her feelings for the ballroom dancer.Curtis chose to couple up with Maura and the pair made it all the way to the final, despite viewers thinking Maura was 'faking' her feelings for him. At the beginning of March 2020, Maura and Curtis announced their split, with Maura admitting things just didn't work out.

Since the pair were dumped from the villa together, they were inseparable, attending a number of events.However, it wasn't to last, as the pair have now split up after Jourdan suggested Danny was "disloyal." Danny has denied cheating on Jourdan.

Despite not knowing each other for every long, Harley and Chris left the villa together, and they later confirmed to Caroline Flack on Aftersun that they are 'dating'. However, just one month later, Chris and Harley were the first couple from the 2019 series to announce their split, admitting they've just not had the time to get to know each other.

Dani released a statement via Instagram Stories (how very 2018) announcing the winning 2018 couple had SPLIT, before they got back together and announced a second break-up (for good) on April 3rd 2019.Dani now has a new boyfriend, Sammy Kimmence, and Jack has recently become a father to a beautiful baby girl.

That’s right, two brand new girls are entering the villa tonight: online fashion boutique owner Lucinda Strafford and fashion buyer’s administrator Millie Court.
Lucina and Millie’s arrival was teased at the end of last night’s episode as they could be seen posing on the beach before another clip showed them walking out of the bedroom to greet the other Islanders.
Will they be welcomed with open arms or given the cold shoulder? And could their arrival shake up the couples? We can’t wait to see how this turns out…
